Look, we get it. This is Central New York. 100% sun is forecasted and 30 minutes before the ceremony, dark clouds roll in. So we include a simple, beautiful space to ensure the best backup plan in the industry. Our design includes a minimal backdrop for you to personalize with florals, candles, drapery, and decor.

A Wonderful Wedding Day
We had an amazing wedding day with the Apple Orchard Lodge. As a part of the larger Say I Do events group that owns several other nearby venues, this was as 'one-stop shop' as you could get for a wedding venue.
To start with potential negatives: if you are very hands-on/have a specific vision for your wedding, make sure you have those needs known as the high volume of weddings they do means everything is more streamlined, you have to be on top of your communication from the get-go. This also means you get assigned a wedding coordinator, for us, ~3 weeks from the wedding, with food tasting and floral meetings in the months prior to this.
The positives:
- Food: Incredible food tasting, able to try everything, food day of was amazing. They do add some seasonal appetizers and portions to dinner which everyone enjoyed.
- Florals: We brought pictures of what we envisioned to Mary's flower shop, and she brought that to life. They also have a plethora of decor items as well, centerpieces, table signs, etc.
- DJ: Functional web interface provided to help build your playlist and plan the day. Pete was our DJ and was AWESOME, he was very accommodating, our dance floor was packed the entire night.
- There was another wedding at the Gastby, located in the same building, which was not an issue. We did not see, hear, or interact with anyone from the other wedding.
Michelle was our wedding coordinator, and she was absolutely fantastic. She answered any question we had, was flexible with our requested accommodations, and most importantly made our day as smooth and stress-free as possible. She always made sure we had food and drink no matter what was going on, kept everyone organized, and the schedule moving.
TL;DR: This venue was an incredible value. While it is a high-volume business requiring lots of communication and coordination in a shorter time than we would have liked, the wedding was as close to perfect as we could have wanted. Thanks Michelle and everyone who made our day possible!
