The Perfect Fit

As soon as I pulled up to the vineyard, I knew this is where I wanted to have my reception. The whole team was amazing. The food and drinks were incredible and the service was top notch! We loved every aspect of our time at the vineyard.

Perfect Winery Wedding

My husband and I were married here on September 28, 2018. We held both our ceremony and reception here, and everything was perfect. We had approximately 160 guests, which I believe is right around the maximum number that the venue can hold inside, including the main floor, balcony, and porch. I know of people who have had more guests but just rented a tent for the reception. The views from the venue are spectacular. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, so our ceremony was held outside with the Black River Valley as our backdrop. The venue provides the arbor for the ceremony, so we did not need to worry about that. The venue will also provide seasonal flowers from their own landscaping for centerpieces if you request! There are so many photo opportunities with the beautiful landscaping, trees, and vines all over the property. The reception hall itself is beautiful with its rustic feel, and I did not need to do much decorating. Sue, the owner, was easy to work with and very helpful throughout the planning process. I hired a caterer, so I cannot speak for the food (although I have had their food at other events, and it is delicious), but Tug Hill Vineyards also has a great selection of menus that they can prepare. They also have great recommendations for other vendors in the area if you need help finding a DJ, photographer, etc. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. We loved it!

Wedding September 2018

Tug Hill Vineyards completely went above and beyond for my wedding. Both Sue (owner) and Ashley (event coordinator) were so kind, professional, and understanding throughout the entire process from start to finish. We had to re-book our venue four months before our day and we knew we would have difficulty finding a new venue for a Saturday wedding during prime season especially while we were out-of-state (military). Thankfully, Tug Hill Vineyards had an opening and oh my can I say they were a huge improvement from our last venue (as well as more cost effective for you money savvy couples!). They were very transparent about their prices and about what they could and could not do for us. Never had an issue contacting them via email or phone; always quick responses (1-2 days). We had to serve wine specifically from their wine menu, but our guests loved the wines we chose. They have an excellent selection and will definitely have a wine that will fit your menu and taste! There is a hotel just down the road from the venue (about a 7-minute drive) in case you have guests that need to stay the night. Tug Hill does have a preferred vendor list, but we had no issues getting a quality caterer or rental company from that list. We chose to host our ceremony in a tent overlooking the vineyard and the Black River Valley rather than hosting it inside. Tug Hill does not provide a tent (or the tables/chairs/linens/tableware for outside) so keep that in mind if you want an outdoor wedding or have a large guest list as inside has a guest limit. Tug Hill Vineyards allowed us to have our rental company put up the tent Friday afternoon and remove it Sunday morning. We had a 40ft x 80ft tent and it easily fit everything we needed (we had about 110 guests) and still had the perfect amount of space to use the arch overlooking the vineyard for our ceremony. Sue even provided the chairs for the ceremony as well as lemonade free of charge for our reception which was so generous of her and such a blessing. My guests kept complimenting on how gorgeous the venue was no matter where you looked, they take such great care of their grounds. The venue is gorgeous both inside and outside; you will not regret booking Tug Hill Vineyards for your wedding!
Side note: Tug Hill also has a dog that patrols the vineyards which was a huge hit with my guests, especially the children. He is very friendly and will not interrupt your event in any way; he just stayed in the vineyard and watched from afar.
