Facilities and Capacity
First established in 2007, Tug Hill Vineyards boasts 10 acres of vineyards featuring French-American hybrid grapes. Alongside their acres of raspberries and blueberries, this estate offers various selections of wines and liqueurs for couples to enjoy during their reception. Along with their passion for viticulture, the team is also passionate about giving soon-to-be-weds a romantic, serene environment to exchange their vows. Weddings with up to 160 guests can partake in the scenic outdoor area, with lush trees and vibrant blooms acting as your natural backdrop. The spacious lawns can easily accommodate an event tent, to add both protection and elegance during your special day. Couples that prefer an indoor setting can use the property’s banquet hall, which features timber framing, a cathedral ceiling, and a cozy stone fireplace. The exposed wooden beams add a bucolic, down-to-earth touch, while the large windows provide plenty of natural light. The main hall also features a large covered patio, for your loved ones to enjoy your cocktail hour with a view. Couples and their wedding party can use the main house’s upstairs area to dress and prepare for the altar. Two bars are available, with one located inside the banquet hall, and another underneath a vine-covered pergola.
The onsite team will handle setup and cleanup, while you make new memories with your loved ones. Tables, chairs, and floral centerpieces will be provided, to seat all your gifts comfortably. Tug Hill Vineyards offers various beverage packages, to accommodate any couple’s nuptial theme and budget. Along with their hand-crafted wines, you will also have the choice of beer kegs, champagne cases, and a full-liquor bar to complete your reception. Their in-house catering specializes in informal stations and buffet-style serving, and provide dinnerware and silverware to receptions. In addition, you will be free to choose from their list of trusted vendors, to help you achieve the celebration that you always envisioned.

Perfect Winery Wedding
My husband and I were married here on September 28, 2018. We held both our ceremony and reception here, and everything was perfect. We had approximately 160 guests, which I believe is right around the maximum number that the venue can hold inside, including the main floor, balcony, and porch. I know of people who have had more guests but just rented a tent for the reception. The views from the venue are spectacular. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, so our ceremony was held outside with the Black River Valley as our backdrop. The venue provides the arbor for the ceremony, so we did not need to worry about that. The venue will also provide seasonal flowers from their own landscaping for centerpieces if you request! There are so many photo opportunities with the beautiful landscaping, trees, and vines all over the property. The reception hall itself is beautiful with its rustic feel, and I did not need to do much decorating. Sue, the owner, was easy to work with and very helpful throughout the planning process. I hired a caterer, so I cannot speak for the food (although I have had their food at other events, and it is delicious), but Tug Hill Vineyards also has a great selection of menus that they can prepare. They also have great recommendations for other vendors in the area if you need help finding a DJ, photographer, etc. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. We loved it!Sent on 01/13/2019

Wedding September 2018
Tug Hill Vineyards completely went above and beyond for my wedding. Both Sue (owner) and Ashley (event coordinator) were so kind, professional, and understanding throughout the entire process from start to finish. We had to re-book our venue four months before our day and we knew we would have difficulty finding a new venue for a Saturday wedding during prime season especially while we were out-of-state (military). Thankfully, Tug Hill Vineyards had an opening and oh my can I say they were a huge improvement from our last venue (as well as more cost effective for you money savvy couples!). They were very transparent about their prices and about what they could and could not do for us. Never had an issue contacting them via email or phone; always quick responses (1-2 days). We had to serve wine specifically from their wine menu, but our guests loved the wines we chose. They have an excellent selection and will definitely have a wine that will fit your menu and taste! There is a hotel just down the road from the venue (about a 7-minute drive) in case you have guests that need to stay the night. Tug Hill does have a preferred vendor list, but we had no issues getting a quality caterer or rental company from that list. We chose to host our ceremony in a tent overlooking the vineyard and the Black River Valley rather than hosting it inside. Tug Hill does not provide a tent (or the tables/chairs/linens/tableware for outside) so keep that in mind if you want an outdoor wedding or have a large guest list as inside has a guest limit. Tug Hill Vineyards allowed us to have our rental company put up the tent Friday afternoon and remove it Sunday morning. We had a 40ft x 80ft tent and it easily fit everything we needed (we had about 110 guests) and still had the perfect amount of space to use the arch overlooking the vineyard for our ceremony. Sue even provided the chairs for the ceremony as well as lemonade free of charge for our reception which was so generous of her and such a blessing. My guests kept complimenting on how gorgeous the venue was no matter where you looked, they take such great care of their grounds. The venue is gorgeous both inside and outside; you will not regret booking Tug Hill Vineyards for your wedding!Sent on 08/15/2019
Side note: Tug Hill also has a dog that patrols the vineyards which was a huge hit with my guests, especially the children. He is very friendly and will not interrupt your event in any way; he just stayed in the vineyard and watched from afar.
