From the time I was small, taking art classes with my grandmother (a professional artist specializing in oil paintings) I have always loved and appreciated beauty, and the act of making things beautiful. Since my childhood I have taken baby steps further and further into the artistic world, discovering photography once and for all on a European adventure through the unique way that a photograph allowed me to capture a moment, a scene, a feeling. It was there that I began photographing a friend who had previously modeled in NYFW. The photos, and my friend’s natural beauty, caught the attention of a local wedding photographer who asked me to assist her at a wedding the following summer. I loved everything about the wedding world: all at once editorial, photojournalistic, emotional, romantic, sometimes hilarious, and always unique. That was 2015.

I am an optimist, a romantic, and sometimes a realist. I love the feeling of giving a couple a photograph and their reaction when they are surprised to recognize their own beauty. I believe in the importance of capturing things as they really are, as much as I believe in finding the best, in not just a photograph or angle, but in who people are. I am inspired by new places as much as I am traditional landscapes and venues, specializing in destination weddings in addition to coastal Maine events.

On the day of your ceremony, you can expect me to exude a calm and soothing presence. I will gently and easily prompt you to move to find the most flattering angle, the best light, and the most genuine moment. I am committed to creating fine art from your day, drawing on all elements – the beauty of the venue and surrounding landscape, the lighting, your love – to art direct the scene. Without making you feel like your day is dictated by me, I will transition my style through the course of the day at the appropriate times to blend a mixture of fine art and photojournalistic styles. All this means is that I will aim to create work that is visually and aesthetically pleasing, and at times, will switch to a more observational, less directional role, in order to capture the complete picture of the story of your love, in the least obtrusive way possible. Above all, I will do my best to give you the experience I would want – to bring you a light energy, and to provide you with timeless heirlooms to appreciate for years to come.

What I hope to give to my clients are photographs that will perfectly encapsulate their day: the feeling, the fun, the romance, the beauty, the raw, beautifully charged moments.

When I’m not using my camera, you can find me with my fiancé Sapati, my family, my friends, eating something delicious, exploring the world at large, resting at our tiny island home in Harpswell, Maine, or at an art museum with my grandmother.

As much as possible, 10% of all proceeds are given to local churches, charities, and to the education of children in the Andhra Pradesh region of the country of India.
