Bottom line up front: Collin (and his second shooter) created a work of art that far surpassed anything we could have asked for!

I first came across Collin’s name online as my then-fiance and I were shopping around for videographers. We were at a point where we truly didn’t even know if we wanted a video made of our day, as every single person we had talked to just didn’t have that spark that we were looking for. From the same cliched angles to strange gimmicks that served as “trademark” shots, we had just about given up and were resigned to the steady camera shots from the church, with no video at all from the reception.

Then we saw one of Collin’s videos and fell in love. Collin doesn’t do a simple “this is the recording of the day”, he creates art that reflects the love and joy that we felt during that entire day.

Our journey with Collin actually started nearly a year and a half in advance of the wedding, even before my wife and I were engaged. I had started planning my proposal, and I knew that I wanted the moment recorded. I had a general idea of how events would play out (and was preeeettty sure that Cathy would say yes), but Collin had some incredible ideas on how to make the night as special as possible. Things luckily went as planned, and I had both a fiance and a wonderful short film of the engagement that only made me more sure of my choice of hiring Collin.

In the leadup to the wedding, Collin answered all of our questions, allowing us to give our input on what moments were important to us, and had the experience necessary to bring up details that we hadn’t even considered. During the event itself, communication was clear and both Collin and his team were consummate professionals, rolling with the punches and grabbing every single bit of film that they could.

The final product from Collin is spectacular. Cathy and I never expected to be one of those couples who go back and watch their wedding video except for the very rare occasion, but we find ourselves sitting back and watching regularly, filled with joy and love.

If you have the option to hire Collin, you should absolutely do so. He will approach your special day, whatever it may be, and will create a masterpiece that makes you feel as though you’re the star of your very own movie. We could not be happier with the final cut of our film, and we know that you will feel the same!

This review is long over due from our August 31, 2018 wedding but we cannot say enough wonderful things about how incredible Collin and Matt with Anew Visual were to work with.

Right from the first inquiry, Collin was so sweet and laid back it immediately put us at east to trust Anew Visual with such an important component of our big day. He got back to us each time right away and answered all of our questions, giving us a great idea of what to expect on the day of. They arrived early to scope out the venue and coordinate with the other vendors and then began filming. As they were filming they put us at ease, were in all the right places at the right time but never in anyone's way. These guys are true artists and you'll catch them crouching in awkward and uncomfortable positions just to capture that perfect shot of the tender moments in a wedding. Our bridal parties and families couldn't stop raving about how awesome these two were to work with and kept referencing them as the most valuable vendor we had all day!

We knew they were amazing but when Collin reminded one of us to just "smile" and reassured us it looked incredible as we were racing up a massive hill in our wedding clothes to get the pretty light and feeling like we must have looked awful on camera, it was evident that they can handle even the most challenging situations and still produce a flawless final product. This particular scene happens to be one of our favorites of our whole video now! Both Collin and Matt stayed so calm and cool all day and inserted elements of fun to keep the mood light all throughout their filming.

We had them filming for 8 hours that day and Collin managed to get the entire video edited and packaged back to us exactly 3 weeks from our wedding day. This was absolutely incredible to receive right after our honeymoon! We must have watched it 20 times in a row and were in awe with how he put the whole story of the day together. It really was just that, OUR love story. He incorporated all the key parts of the day, inserted the magic of the wedding ceremony, the fun on the dance floor and managed to capture our guests all having the very best time. We laughed, we cried, we squealed and we just wanted more after watching it because it was just THAT good! We requested that he incorporate a little more of one of the speeches for us and got this revision back to us with in 2 days. That turnaround time is unheard of in this business and we were blown away by his responsiveness and attention to the important details.

We have since shared our video with all our families and friends and find ourselves watching it regularly to relive the magic of our wedding day all over again. Booking Anew Visual was by far one the very best decision we made in the entire planning process. They put their hearts into their work and it really shows in the final product.
