An Occasion Events is a boutique-style wedding planning and coordination company based in La Grange, California. Owner and lead event designer, Jennifer Valdez is a passionate individual who is head-over-heels about love and all things nuptial. She and her talented outfit focus on bringing to life the dream wedding celebrations of their clients. Through creative ideation and a keen eye for detail, Jennifer aims to showcase the distinctive styles and personalities of each respective couple.

We also have our own floral farm and offer florist services for all of your wedding events.

Incredible Long-Distance Wedding Planning Experience!

Jennifer, Brittany, Diane, and Kristina were so incredible to work with for our wedding weekend! My husband, Joe, and I planned our wedding in California from North Carolina. While I had been to the area years ago, Joe had never been. We relied HEAVILY on the An Occasion Events team to help us find trustworthy vendors, provide our BEAUTIFUL flowers, and plan our weekend. I know without a doubt that our wedding weekend would not have been a success without their professional team! The team went above and beyond to Facetime us during the planning process at our reception locations so we could get a better feel for what to expect the day of. Kristina went out of her way to make a trip to our ceremony location so she could take pictures there and give us an idea of how people would need to stand for the ceremony. We were impressed with the planning process but it was the day of coordination that blew us away. Having such a great team made our day easy! We were able to spend time with our friends and family while the An Occasion Events team handled the logistics. We had a 10/10 experience with the An Occasion Team and would highly recommend working with them!

Couldn't have done it without Jennifer!

Jennifer is an amazing wedding planner and coordinator, as well as florist. My husband and I hired her to for pre-planning, day of assistance and florals, and we truly could not have done it all without her. We were originally supposed to be married in June 2020 but for obvious reasons had to postpone. She helped us deal with both the practical and emotional toll and moved us towards a successful and gorgeous mini-wedding later that year. We then moved on to planning our full wedding for August of 2021 and when the day finally came, so many outside forces could have thrown the day into chaos (a fire and evacuations in the area the day before, 105 degree heat, looming COVID spikes) and yet again, Jennifer and her team pulled together a truly spectacular day.

A few touches that really stick out for us:
- She incorporated hops into my husband's boutonniere, which was so unique and special
- The vibe of the reception matched exactly with the vision that we had, with light blues, coppers and golds woven throughout
- The team created a short video of the day which was such a wonderful surprise

I'd recommend Jennifer to anyone for their wedding!

Amazing & a must!

Jennifer and her team at An Occasion Events went above and beyond any of our expectations! Jennifer was always so responsive and there to help you with anything and everything. My husband and I were not sure we needed a wedding planner but SOOO happy we hired her to help with planning and day of services! She is a definite MUST! She did a great job with so many things where do we start....
An Occation Events & Jennifer did all this and so much more:
-getting our vendors all together and making sure everyone was organized before and day of without a hiccup
-keeping the day on track and making it so we didn't have to worry about forgetting to do something (great just to enjoy the day)
-Fixed my dress when it needed pinning up
-made me fantasy dream wedding come true!
