She has got that golden hour on the west coast of Michigan down! She made us feel so comfortable, she was F U N to be with, has suggested other great local vendors to this outta town couple, A N D I C A N N O T W A I T until our wedding now (she helped a lot with the nerves). Hats off to this pro!

Rachel captures both our engagement photos and wedding photos. I don’t even know where to begin in explain how great she is. We booked her about two years in advance. Our engagement photos were incredible. She pushed us to take destination photos are stray away from the norm which we absolutely loved. We took them on Mackinac Island, MI. She made us feel comfortable and really tried to get to know us. She answered any and all questions about our wedding planning not just photography. She offered a list of vendors and made us feel like we could ask her anything. Our wedding day went off without a hitch in large part due to her being the head of the show. This was not an official title but she took on the role quite quickly and made sure people were in places they needed to be, we stuck to our schedule and that we were genuinely us in our photos. She is an artist. If you are thinking of hiring her you should be looking for art pieces. She does the staged large group photos better than anyone but it’s the drama and the emotion she truly is best at. She cares about her clients and goes the extra mile. Give her the job and you will not be disappointed . Give her the job and you will not only feel confident in her day of but you’ll be able to focus on what matters most, the wedding! She makes sure you are in the moment and happy. Her turn around time is second to none without skimping on any of the details. Rachel was the best vendor we hired and now we call her our friend. Worth the money. Worth the time. Worth the wait. Definitely booking for future family photos or just because.

Rachel at Adventure Photo Stories was amazing to work with, and we are in love with all of the photos of our wedding day! Not only were they great pictures of us, but they captured so many candid moments of our guests that mean so much to us. Rachel made everyone feel comfortable on our wedding day and was so easy to work with throughout the planning process. I absolutely recommend having Adventure Photo Stories as your wedding photographer, it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Aside from saying “I Do” to my now husband, Having Rachel from Adventure Photo Stories capture our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. My husband and I were in awe at how incredibly talented, kind, and patient Rachel is. She had her assistant, Andrea, who was an even bigger help. Both these ladies were such a breath of fresh air with their humor, kindness, and easy-going personalities.

Rachel is professional and organized! Before the wedding we had at least 1 skype meeting about details of the wedding, pricing, etc. The website she uses that contains all the wedding details, packages, and photos, were great. She responds to emails in a timely and was always available to answer our questions.

Throughout the wedding day, Rachel and Andrea were such a big help. Our guest and families loved them! Plus, the wedding photos turned out magical!

Rachel from adventure photo stories shot my wedding on 6/23/2017 at Sundance Studios near Benton Harbor. She was absolutely amazing from the moment my husband and I met her and figured out logistics at a coffee shop. She arrived early even though our package only alloted 6 hours of coverage, and was such a breath of fresh air. We could be ourselves around her, which made the day flow so naturally. She delivered our pictures to us digitally within two weeks, and posted little previews which made us even more excited. We would recommend adventure photo stories to anyone! 10/10 would do again :)

Rachel at Adventure Photo Stories is a gifted photographer and a stellar human. I greatly appreciated her professionalism, her preparedness, and her wit. She put together an excellent schedule for the big day, and, being the seasoned veteran and forward thinker that she is, allotted extra time in all the right places. So I was not a hot mess when, of course, everything ran off schedule. She was two steps ahead the entire time. And she managed to make me laugh every 2 minutes.

She captured a plethora of beautiful shots, and our wedding party had a blast running around town with her on a cold February day. Also, she was able to take amazing photos during the ceremony without being disruptive, which I greatly value in a photographer. Basically, she's a ninja.

She was extremely patient and generous when asked to take a few more photos, even though it was well after she was off the clock. We loved the way the photos turned out - she asked what kinds of shots we wanted most, and she delivered. We received lots of fun candids and unique photos that we asked for. My husband and I are not the best at having our picture taken - we usually feel awkward and silly and it often shows. But Rachel made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera and that makes her a photo-taking wizard. She was so empowering and I felt like a goddess whenever she took my photo.

In a nutshell, Rachel is a ninja wizard warrior-princess and you should have her photograph you always. And you should feed her gluten free treats, because that woman deserves all of the nice and allergy-free things in life.

Rachael and Colin at Adventure Photo Stories are hands down the BEST photographers for your wedding! They did an amazing job with all of our photos for our big day; not only did they get tons of great shots, they were super easy to work with. They did a great job of making you comfortable during the shoots. Both our engagement photos and wedding photos turned out amazing, better than both of us could have ever hoped. We had such a great experience that we'll definitely be using them in the future for any other pictures we need. We cannot recommend Adventure Photo Stories enough, you absolutely can't go wrong with them!

I can’t say enough about how happy we are to have chosen Adventure Photo Stories for our wedding day. Rachel was super professional, helpful, flexible, amazingly talented, and as an added bonus: an absolute blast to hang out with all day. So much fun!!

Planning a wedding involves making a lot of over-complicated decisions, but this was probably the easiest and most rewarding of all of them for us. Rachel walked us through all sorts of logistics that we were clueless about.. having someone so experienced in our corner definitely put our minds at ease. Honestly, her work speaks for itself, so we were able to trust her creative vision and just enjoy the day. That was priceless.

We sincerely adore how our photos turned out - they are beautiful and vibrant and capture the feeling of the day so perfectly. We are so grateful to have them and will enjoy them for many many years to come!! <3

We had Rachel from Adventure Photo Stories shoot out engagement photos and she is the absolute best! We were both pretty nervous, but she totally captured the love between us without it being awkward. She played music and made it a super comfortable and fun experience! She will also be shooting our wedding and we look so forward to it!

My now-husband and I shot a mini engagement session with Adventure Photo Stories. It was a pleasure working with Rachel from Adventure and see the creative process taking place during our shoot. Rachel chatted with us and made us comfortable as she read the environment around us and set up her camera. She set us in some lovely greenery and took some gorgeous Earthy shots. Even though my husband and I are both very camera-shy, every shot was comfortable for us and we absolutely LOVED the results. Best of all, she brought a Polaroid camera just to be able to hand us a shot to take home. We loved the process from start to finish and would highly recommend Adventure Photo Stories for a couples session.
