Active DJ Entertainment

Shawn and the Active DJ team are phenomenal and from start to finsh, made our planning experience and wedding absolutely perfect. From our very first meeting we felt so comfortable and truly like Shawn knew our music preferences so well already, just from what he picked up on from our planning form. On our wedding day, all of the music/sound was executed perfectly, and all of our guests are still talking about how great the party was thanks to Shawn. Additionally, the lights and the DJ booth setup that Shawn had was so nice that even guests have been talking about that after the fact too! We appreciate the Active DJ team making such an impact on our special day and cant wait to work with them again for any other events we may have in the future. 10/10 reccomend!

Shawn was the best! He made sure everyone was having a blast and never let the party vibes die. He met with us prior to wedding day and made sure he knew exactly what we were going for and what songs we for sure wanted to be played. He kept the music flowing and bounced between genres well. Would definitely recommend him and Active DJ Entertainment!

Working with Martin was an absolute breeze from start to finish! We had a few unconventional music requests and special moments we wanted incorporated throughout the night, and he never missed a beat. He was incredibly flexible, knowledgeable, and clearly knows how to read a crowd while still making the night feel uniquely personal to the couple.

Every song and transition felt seamless, and he did an amazing job bringing our vision to life. The dance floor was packed all night long! The next day, we heard over and over again that it was the best wedding they had ever attended, and Martin played a huge role in creating that experience. Added pro tip: book the CO₂ cannon. It added such a fun, high-energy moment to the reception and made for incredible photos and videos.

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and would recommend Martin to anyone looking for an unforgettable wedding reception!

Ray was absolutely incredible and did such an amazing job as our wedding DJ! From the beginning, he was so easy to work with, professional, organized, and truly understood the kind of atmosphere we wanted for our wedding day.

On the wedding day, everything flowed perfectly because of him. The music during every part of the day was spot on, transitions were seamless, and he kept the energy up all night long.

What we appreciated most about Ray was how attentive he was to every detail and how well he read the crowd. He knew exactly how to keep the night moving while making sure everything still felt personal to us as a couple. He helped create such a fun, exciting, and memorable atmosphere that made our wedding feel truly special.

We are so grateful we chose Ray and would recommend him to absolutely anyone looking for a DJ who is talented, professional, reliable, and genuinely amazing at what he does. He played such a huge part in making our wedding unforgettable!

Active DJ Entertainment absolutely exceeded our expectations. Early in the planning process when I was meeting with wedding planners, every single one told me that Active Entertainment was the best choice we could make, and they were completely right.

They handled both the sound for our ceremony at Airlie Gardens and the music for our reception at Bluewater Waterfront Grill, and everything was seamless from start to finish. They even accommodated a friend of ours who played piano during the ceremony.

Martin was our reception DJ, and he did an incredible job taking the time to truly understand our music taste, preferences, and overall vision for the night. We wanted the music to feel like a high-energy concert and he executed it perfectly. The dance floor was packed all night, and the transitions and pacing were electric.

At Martin’s recommendation, we also added the live saxophone, which was one of the best decisions ever. It brought amazing live energy to the reception and elevated the whole experience.

Multiple guests told us it was the best music they had ever experienced at a wedding, and everyone had an incredible time all night long. We are so grateful to Martin and the entire Active DJ Entertainment team for helping make our wedding feel so special, memorable, and soooo much fun.

We used Active Entertainment for our wedding. Ray Williams was our DJ. I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about Ray. He was professional the entire time, he knew exactly what questions to ask to help guide us through the process, he worked really hard to meet our needs and wants, he did great as an MC and kept the night flowing perfectly. Active Entertainment as a whole was also wonderful, their music platform was super easy to use. Their communication the entire time made us feel valued and appreciated as customers. I would recommend Active Entertainment and specifically Ray 100000x over! They truly made our day so special! We still have guests that rage about how perfect our reception was and how so many people were on the dance floor for so long!

Martin with Active Entertainment could not have done a better job! From the second the dance floor opened, no one left it until the reception was over. I have never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding for the entire time.

I have had so many people tell me that it was the best dance floor they have ever seen at a wedding. Martin and I only had one meeting with each other, but he understood the vibe we were going for from the jump.

I have recommended Martin & Active Entertainment to every person I know looking for a DJ!

We had the best experience with Active DJ, and I cannot recommend them enough—especially RyRy!

From the very beginning, Active DJ did an initial consultation to really understand the vibe we were going for. They took the time to get the full picture of what we wanted for our wedding and matched us with RyRy, which ended up being absolutely perfect.

They asked thoughtful questions to make sure the music reflected us and would keep our guests on the dance floor with high energy all night—and RyRy delivered. He worked off of our playlist but also used his own expertise and read the room so well. His ability to adjust to the energy of the crowd and keep things flowing was honestly so impressive.

He did an amazing job appealing to guests of all ages, and the dance floor was packed the entire night. People were genuinely having the best time, and that’s exactly what we wanted.

If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to keep the energy up, read the room, and make your wedding unforgettable, RyRy is your guy!!!

We had Shawn as our DJ and he abosulety nailed it and had our guests dancing the whole night! He was extremely responsive with any and all questions prior to the Wedding and was always happy to hop on a quick call! Couldn’t recommend more!

Matt Hause was perfect for our reception- many attendees commented on the music and how great everything sounded. Very professional and easy to work with- definitely recommend!!
