We hired someone just to coordinate things on our actual wedding day. (We did all the planning ourselves.) A Day For You was okay. They were much cheaper than other wedding planners, which is why we chose them. I'm not really sure what they did on the actual wedding day, to be honest. I had a superhero friend from out of town who basically organized everything on the big day, and my mom, who had been involved all along the way, was also amazing. So maybe we didn't even need their services. In any case, none of us really know what they did.

But the planner, Shantiea Barnes, was very professional and courteous, and she did her research into Jewish weddings before the event. To be fair, our wedding was a bit unusual, and she'd never done a Jewish wedding before. If you want someone to just help you get everyone lined up and down the aisle in the right order, check in with vendors before the event, and just generally be on hand to make sure nothing goes wrong, she's probably a good bargain. She definitely gave us peace of mind, and that alone was well worth the money.
