Song for bridesmaids to walk down aisle

Melissa, on November 17, 2015 at 7:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

Need some suggestions for ceremony songs. I had intentions of bridesmaids entering ceremony with "a thousand years" Christina perri. Now I think I wanna walk in to that song. Any suggestions. Initially I was considering walking in to "marry me" from train but I think a thousand years would be better. Any suggestions for bridesmaids

Im planning on using la vie en rose by Louise Armstrong. Its jazzy and mostly instrumental which I think with the size of our wedding party is important.

A bridal party I was in walked down the aisle to "Cosmic Love" by Florence + The Machine. The venue, song, and decor really set the tone for the bride who walked down the aisle to "Hallelujah"

We haven't made a final decision yet, but I'm leaning towards having our guitarist play "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.

So I had the same issue with the same song and my Dj suggested the bridesmaids walk down to the instrumental version then when it's my turn it will actually have the words. I loved the idea so I'm sticking to this option hope this helps

I'm actually only using one song for the entire procession. "The Day Before You" by Rascal Flatts. I want the entire song to play and it's the perfect tempo, so my entire side of the processional will walk in during it.

I'm planning on using "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Ray. We have an acoustic guitarist/singer who will be performing the ceremony music and there is a beautiful acoustic version of that song on YouTube that I want him to use.

The Bridesmaids and I walked into the same song. It was Wanted covered by Boyce Avenue. I loved that version and wanted it to play for as long as possible!

I couldn't stand to make any more decisions so I said F it, and went with good ole Canon in D.

We used Pachelbel's Canon for everyone (including me). @HLW, you're having your bridesmaids at your WEDDING come down the aisle to a song that's basically about rape?! Usually I don't have opinions about other people's music, but I have to speak up on this one. Can I ask why you picked that song?

The parents and the bridal party all walked to Canon in D. I walked to The Piano Guys cover of A Thousand Years.

For the Dancing and the Dreaming cover by the Hound and the Fox. It's the wedding song from the movie How to Train Your Dragon 2. Their cover of it is fantastic.

We did the Ice Castles Theme (Through the Eyes of Love) for the bridal party, and I walked down to "Beauty and the Beast."

Beth- I never even thought of that song like that. I goggled it and robin THicke said it was about his wife. But now I can see how it would be interpreted as rape. Its kind of a strange song for a wedding ceremony but to each their own.

You don't have to have a different song for you and your BM. I used the same song for my BM and then myself. The time for everyone to walk down the aisle is so short that if you use the one song then everyone gets to hear more of the song.
