Potted succulents as favors

Anonymous, on December 17, 2012 at 12:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

I want to do mini potted succulents as wedding favors! Has anyone seen or done them as favors before? I found a great place that sells them in bulk if anyone ever wants to look for them. I'm having a small wedding so I only need 30, they are charging 1.50/ea. plusshipping. thought that was pretty good! Does anyone have any ideas on decorating the pots?

I wanted to do the same thing for my favors. Could you share where you found them?

Ribbon, twine, cute paper tags, paint the pots in your wedding colors...

You can get the mini succulents for about 75 cents at home depot

I like Brandy's idea of painting in wedding colors! Maybe even glitter on the pots? I'm a glitter fiend, though Smiley winking

Thanks! I was going to do wedding cake cookies in cello bags but I did a test run the other night and those things did not resemble a wedding cake at all! Haha. Glad I tried it out a few months ahead of time!

Omg really?!?! That beats 1.50 plus $20 shipping!! Do they come separated in pots or is this diy?

Such a lovely idea! i was going to send you some links, but to be honest there are too many good ones. i went onto pinterest and just typed "succulent favors" into the search.

there were beautiful options like painted pots, also some really pretty pots wrapped in kraft paper and ribbon/twine. i think you will fine lots of inspiration there.

I love the one with the craft paper. My colors are light pink and champagne, I think it would be pretty to use a soft pink paper with a pattern on it from hobby lobby with a champagne ribbon!

I'm so doing this but seeing that i live in the Bahamas i'll have to order my plants to make sure i get enough (160) for everyone. www.rainforestrose.com has 100 for 101.00. I love the craft paper also just have to find 3 shades of pink Smiley smile

Sorry for the late participation in this discussion but the ladies who ended up doing succulents through lowes or home depot - did you have to do it as a special order in their garden department? Also, how big were the "mini" succulents? Thanks!!
