Night before Bachelorette Party Ideas??

Mrs Roberts, on August 23, 2012 at 1:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Did/Are any of you Ladies having your bachelorette party the night before your wedding? I am looking for some ideas but not the typical out on the town party. I want the Bride to be well rested and sober the day of her wedding. Smiley winking Any help from you Ladies would be GREATLY appreciated! I have 14 days to pull this together.

For a friend, we had the Bach 2 days before the wedding but it was a night on the town..oi.

With that being said, there's tons of things you could do -

Spa party (no facials or anything for the face/neck in case of reactions though), pole dancing class, cooking classes (or chocolate making classes), passion party, do you have a tea room in your area? Pottery or painting classes - we have ones out here where you can bring wine and they teach you to paint something in particular...

    Hope that'll get you started?

    Those all are great ideas!

Here is what I am facing:

The entire bridal party (as well as most of the guest) are coming from OOT and will not be arriving until Thursday. Being that the wedding is on Friday evening, the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner will be right after they arrive. I think the rehearsal starts at 4:30, with the dinner following. The only time I will have everyone together is after the dinner, i'll say around 8p or so. So that only leaves me a limited amount of time with everyone before heading to bed to start hair and make up early the next morning.

The party was being planned by one of the MOH but things happen when planning the bridal shower so now I am in charge with limited time and being that it will have to happen late, limited vendors. Would a lingerie shower be okay? I can serve desserts and wine..

Mine is tonight! We have so much to do tomorrow, a night before party would have been impossible. We were going to do karaoke, but that doesn't even start til 10pm! So we are going bowling after dinner at a pizza joint. The other options we considered were mani/pedis and shootin pool. If you're not into those, maybe seeing a movie?

Hmmm, if everyone is staying in teh same hotel you could see what their amenities are? a group massage or pedicures, snacks, etc.

a lingerie shower is ok, there's also fantasia parties, more risque with sex toys and stuff? hard call though the day before the wedding and after the rehersal. I don't envy your postition but it is nice to still do something.

the night before my friends wedding a bunch of girls got together had a slumber party in our pj's and watched girlie movies.

I checked the hotel and they do not offer any spa amenities. Bummer because that was a good idea.

I want to do something for her being that the bridal shower was cancelled.

    That's really nice of you.

If you want spa stuff, what about hiring someone to come in and do mani/pedis? If the hotel doesn't have a spa that doesn't mean you can't still hire someone if they're willing/able to travel. Just depends on your budget

Or you could keep it simple, have some light refreshments, sparkling water and sparkling wine with fruit, and just host a very sweet get-together where you all give her advice?...play a few quick games, maybe have a PJ party?

I think whatever you do you just have to be flexible and gauge how the bride is feeling and what's going on - if there's some last minute crisis and she needs help, or isn't feeling well, or her stress level is way high, you want it to be relaxing and not feel like something she "has" to do if she's feeling overwhelmed, you know? Short and sweet might be nice, then if people want to stay longer and the bride's up for it, great.

Most hotels have rooms you can rent and you could always host a lingerie shower there and have it set up ahead of time. Or depending how many people would join, uou could always have a "pool party" if they have a hot tub there and hopefully that'd at least be relaxing and fun.

Chrissy K I am so sorry you didn't get either!

Thanks Ladies! I am going to keep it short and sweet with the lingerie shower. I will leave the dinner a little early to set up, have a few games, desserts and drinks. I remember being exhausted after the running of the day before the wedding, so I hope she will love having all the ladies together for a little while and then get some rest. I'll be staying with her the night before so I will be sure to pay attention to how she is feeling and determine how long to keep everyone around.

Maybe see if the hotel has a pool or hot tub and do a relax type of party..or if its in your budget maybe rent a limo and drive around and have a few glasses of wine or champange or take it to a ice cream parlor and have treats since you would already have had dinner..or see if the hotel has a conference room you could use and play some games and have desserts or use it to have a true romance party or lingerie party.or maybe just go out bowling..

Try doing a pamper party. You all could bring the materials needed. Such as different facial masks and oils. You could even do DIY nails.

Yeah, we were all bad role models the night before my wedding, lol. I was going to say the spa thing. Massages, drinking some bahama mamas, sounds like a good time.
