Casa Ybel Resort offers a secluded wedding venue for couples on Sanibel Island, Florida. For over 100 years this romantic site has seen everything from elopements to grand beach-front wedding celebrations. Couples can enjoy their union as they and their guests sip tropical drinks upon a white sand beach or watch the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. Casa Ybel Resort is a dream-like destination that is ideal for those that enjoy a tropical atmosphere. Its 23 acres of tranquil waterfront provide for an unforgettable getaway.
Facilities and Capacity
From its sandy shores to its manicured gardens, there are plenty of locations to say your vows. The Casa Ybel Resort can cater to couples that want to have either an indoor or an outdoor wedding. Alternatively, couples can also choose to have a little bit of both. Up to 200 guests will be able to attend a wedding here. Example locations include tropical-landscaped lawn or the lakeside gazebo. Tents may also be erected on the coastline to accommodate seaside receptions.

The Casa Ybel Resort is there to help couples prepare for their wedding day. In addition to their rehearsal dinner packages, their services include and amenities include onsite parking, event rentals, ceremony accouterments, and the provision of a dance floor.
Other Services
Couples and their guests will be able to wake up to views of the Gulf on the scheduled wedding day, spending a comfortable morning in one of the hotel's many suites. Picture Perfect
Jessica and Joanne, and all the staff that we came into contact with, including Robert at the Thistle lodge, were phenomenal. We decided on a beach side ceremony, with a patio cocktail hour, and dinner upstairs in the waterfront room.
JoAnne was very helpful and communicative during the entire planning process. She even picked me up from my room and drove me and my daughter to the ceremony site in a golf cart so we didn’t have to walk and be seen. She and her staff also set up all of our decor, and did a beautiful job.
The food was fantastic. All of our guests raves about everything…from the shellfish bar at cocktail hour, to their main course. The serving staff was excellent.
We can’t wait to go back and celebrate our anniversaries here! It will forever be one of our favorite places.

Casa Ybel is every bit as beautiful as it looks in the pictures! As a photographer, I love photographing weddings there. The beautiful beach that Casa Ybel sits on is definitely picturesque, but there are also so many hidden little corners that are a photographers dream. Gardens, gazebos, a sprawling lawn with amazing old Florida palm trees makes it the perfect location for a wedding. What also makes Casa Ybel stand out though is their amazing staff, from the best chef on the island to a wedding team that is on top of things before my clients even know they are needed, their passion for weddings is evident in every event that I have been a part of. I have highly recommended Casa Ybel to my own friends and family as well as my clients. It is definitely my favorite wedding venue on the island.
