While I haven't gotten back all of my pictures yet, I have seen quite a few of them on Jason's blog - and they are AMAZING! Jason was able to do a fast turn-around on our engagement photo session to ensure that we had the frame for our guests to sign at the wedding. While he was a bit more money than I had wanted to spend on a photographer, I would say that he is definitely worth it! Our pictures are beautiful, and we decided to not hire a videographer to save on the costs there. Besides, the pics are so great that a video is not really even necessary!
Jason thought of all the little details that I wanted captured without having to ask me. He was present to capture all the moments, but blended in well - very unobtrusive - in our event. His assistant, Christopher, was also great! They worked well together to get the best lighting and take all the friends & family pictures (even during the reception) that I had requested prior to our event. They know how to make you look good w/o making you feel awkward during the picture taking, too (no "tilt your head to the left and lean to the right" nonsense).
I would hire Jason again in a heartbeat! If you're undecided, check out his blog (www.jthomasblog.com) - that's what sold it for me!

Jason was great to work with. Explained things thoroughly and well. Photos turned out better than I thought possible, we've been receiving complements on them left and right. I wouldn't have wanted to settle for anything less for our wedding photos.

Unless you are Ivanka Trump...every bride is trying to manage their wedding budget. You figure out what is going to mean the most to you and spend more of your budget on that one thing. My one thing was PHOTOS!
They last a lifetime and you can?t afford not 1 iota to chance your wedding photos.
I actually booked another photographer initially before finding Jason and decided to lose my deposit when I saw Jason's photographs. I remember feeling the sweetest emotion viewing his wedding pictures of complete strangers...and I said to myself I want to FEEL that emotion when I look at my own.
Jason was worth EVERT PENNY. He was extremely responsive on email and telephone and spent time walking through his style/approach. My wedding was in a far off land in VA and he got there with no problem ready to work! He had a nice sense of calm and direction about himself that really added some stability to a day full of flutter and quick decisions. He KNEW EXACTLY what photographs to take to capture the moment, he made friends with my friends and family as he moved about ?actually to the point where folks knew his name and his assistant (my grandma is still talking about sending Camille a Christmas card), he took photographs on what was a very stormy day and made it look like a perfect summer day. He directs you on how to pose. This is critical folks? After all, we are not TOP MODELS but we want top model wedding pictures.
He was really easy going and fun. My husband is super dooper shy about photos and Jason just really got him to open up and have fun. Our photos are A++++ I couldn?t have asked for better pictures. I recommend him to everyone I hear is getting married and tell them to fly him wherever they are going..HE IS WORTH IT!!!

Jason captured every special moment and intricate detail of our day in a way that far surpassed our expectations. We are so grateful to have such gorgeous pictures to look back at forever.

Jason is great! Everyone who has seen our photos raves about how great they are. Jason makes sure to get the shots you want, but they are done creatively. He is not at all intrusive, and he's great at putting everyone in front of the camera at ease. Going with J Thomas was the best decision we made.

I cannot express how easy it was to work with Jason, how well he did at capturing every aspect of our special day in his amazing photography, and how happy my husband and I are with the outcome of our photographs. They definitely will hold our memories for years to come. Incredible photography and service for the price. Included in our package was an engagement photo session with an 11x14 free print from that session, all day photography coverage with two photographers including traditional posed and creative shots, a printed and bound proofs book and CD from which we can print any and all photos, and a 100 photo wedding album. When the photo proofs came to us we were floored! They were so beautiful, so crisp, so artistic, and just a wonderful coverage of all parts of our day. They got everything! It is truly going to be difficult for us to select only 100 photos for our album of the nearly 1000 photos that Jason and Jackie took. Photography was one of the more important aspects of our day and I was willing to pay more than the recommended percentage of our budget toward this service. Not only was Jason's price fair, it included so much, and the photography was top notch - I would have paid much more!! :) You can't go wrong with J. Thomas Photography!

Jason was wonderful to work with. He gave us several options that helped us stick to our budget. We loved our engagement session photos so much that as we got closer to the wedding date we were able to save some more money and booked him for some additional time for the day of the event.

My wife and I gave Jason some sample photo styles we wanted to emulate and he was able to capture the style accurately while still adding his own ideas.

The pictures turned out wonderfully and everyone in the wedding party really had a great time with him. He was professional, and was able to control the crowd/wedding party well. The photos were so good my wife submitted them to The Knot and they were chosen as one of the editor's picks.

Jason is an amazing photographer who gives you hands-on service from the time you meet until you get your wedding photos. There are no secretaries, waiting lists or six-month wait for your final photos here. Jason works with you individually throughout the process to give you exactly what you want. He totally exceeded any expectations I had for a photographer—from taking a CD full of wedding photos I liked and tweaking them to create more individualized shots with the overall theme, to helping me with my dress as I walked up a set of steps! He couldn’t be more in tuned to the needs of his customers. To give you one example – Jason is very softspoken and totally NOT that overbearing photographer type that makes you take a million photos you want—yet there was one point during family photos where my family was bickering about something and I turned to him and said, “Ugh this is making me freak out a bit” and this softspoken man jumped up and yelled “Alright everybody, over here NOW!” To see him get everyone in line like that and turn a situation getting out of hand into something positive and fun was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t be happier with him and would recommend him to anyone.

J. Thomas Photography captured everything I loved about my wedding day. He made me and my attendants feel comfortable as if he wasn't even there but yet captured every single moment. It also thunderstormed the whole entire day of my wedding and he was unable to capture a picture of myself and the groom outside our venue and suggested that we go back 2 days after the wedding to recapture some pictures of us outside. The photos were amazing and turned out beautifully, more than we ever expected. My husband and I will cherish our wedding pictures forever and definitely recommend his services and it is the best money you would ever spend on a wedding. Cheers!
