It upsets me to see a couple so unhappy. I would like to start with the facts that are omitted during the numerous reviews that this one couple has had. I have been working for more than five years as a wedding photographer and this is my first experience with two people who are so incredibly unhappy. This couple came into to meet with Amaris and were on a limited budget so decided to go with two associate photographers for their wedding day. The day was covered along with some over time given at no additional fee to the bride and groom. After the wedding the cards were brought to the studio for editing a few days later and we found a card to be corrupted. We did in fact send an email explaining the situation and told the bride that I would need two weeks to complete the edit from the wedding day and I would get the images up asap to that they could see what was missing and we could assess the loss. This was completed on the schedule promised. In addition to a two week turn around the couple received their images on a disc with a full release as soon as the edit was complete. *as a side note the two shooters at the wedding did a wonderful job and the couple looks gorgeous and happy and the day is just beautiful. After the images were released I received a call again from the groom who wanted half of his money returned or they would not be "recommending" the studio to anyone as they come into contact with a lot of people. The couple was given a two week rush turn around, full access and release of their images immediately following the edit (rather than 6 months after the wedding) and though the contract includes 500 they were sent close to 900 finished print ready images. When I brought this to their attention I received a call from the bride telling me that she would like to hand pick the 500 images so that she could still have half their fee returned to them. She had already received the disc with all of the images several weeks prior. The best that I could assess from the situation is that the couple had potentially over spent on their wedding as saw this as an opportunity to reclaim some of what they had spent in any way possible. Each time we spoke the situation was handled professionally and with kindness and I am sorry that this couple could not be made happy however they do have gorgeous images from their wedding day and I wish them the best of luck in the future.It upsets me to see a couple so unhappy.
