Our DJ (Danny) was great! We loved him....but we were very unsatisfied with Solid Gold who contracts out to other DJs.

We submitted a list of songs which were to be played including two cultural songs our families expected and neither were played. In fact, the DJ didn't have a single Salsa song in his computer.

DJ did not wear the suit/tux the contract specified.
DJ played songs that were on a specific "DO NOT PLAY" list submitted before the wedding and clarified with Solid Gold Sound.

In all, Danny was a great DJ but it was not what we had asked/paid for.

Honestly, I dont even know our videographer's name...but that is a good thing. He was almost like a ninja! I hardly knew he was there! I can't wait to see the actual footage! I hope it turnes out great, though the price was really why I booked, I liked how the videographer conducted himself at the wedding. Highly recommended, even without seeing my DVD yet.

What I loved about A solid Gold Sound was being able to get two for the price of one. We were able to get the DJ and videographer in one price. Included with the price were also a lot of additional features that you would normaly have to pay extra for. We loved our videographer he was able to capture every moment of our wedding. He made sure to capture any special moment and at the same time he captured what was going one everywhere during the reception. Our DJ was very nice and professional. We loved the fact that they were very flexible and let us select most of the music. He was also very responsive to my requests during the reception. If you are not sure who to go for let Solid Gold make that decision for you they have a wide range of DJs and Videographers to choose from.

This company was totally unprofessional. I sent in my money and never heard from them again. I started calling approximately 3 weeks before the wedding to get all of the details handle and no one was every available to talk to me. I was always told to leave my number and someone will get back with me in 20min and it NEVER happened. Our videographer was nice enough but he didn't talk to any of the family member we had listed or contact the person who was to show him around. When we got our DVD ( after several more weeks of calling) the sould was horrible, you couldn't even hear our vowels or anything we said. There were no close up shots of us during the wedding, all from afar and they didn't include everything that was supposed to be in the package I ordered. Again I called and email for weeks until we got a new DVD with better quality sound and extra copies, but they are still lackluster. Please, Please choose another company for your videography!!!!!

The wedding video was great, however, they didn't give us a chance to edit/review it. We paid to send in baby pictures of my husband, and I, yet they made the video regardless and sent it to us. Parts with curse words should have been eliminated, but were not. I tried to call, left my phone number, and no one got back to me. Very disappointed because my mother-in-law won't ever see it because of the curse word her youngest son said. How sad. Shop around and do research!

Up until the week of the wedding, they were really good. However, I never heard from my DJ until AFTER the rehersal dinner, when they had to find me a new one. And the DJ they gave me was HORRIBLE. Not professional, not cooperative, and VERY rude!

Wow - what can I say. My fiance was in charge of this one (actually the only thing he was in charge of) and he found this DJ service online. At first I was a bit skeptical as you can pretty much get taken with these things. He called and his call was answered immediately. We wanted to go with a different DJ since we had met him at a pool party hosted by our community, but at first no one would return our call and we called about 4 times within a month. When they finally returned our call, they wanted to raise the price and he wouldn't call us personally. So, after we found A Solid Gold Sound and they actually answered the phone - we got the internet rate which discounted the price immeasurably. We received the packet with the contract and the best thing was that if we needed to cancel it, it was fully refundable - FULLY. The DJ was prompt and he played all the music we requested and more. He was terrific.

The video person himself was great (from Buffalo,NY)...the company itself is very hard and impersonable to deal with. I had a problem with the DVDs sent and it took 2 months and about 10 phone calls and emails each to get a response. It was very frustrating working with them and I would NOT recommend them!!!

This company is a huge JOKE! Search their name on google and you will see what I mean. I had a HORRIBLE experience. My DJ was the worst- and you can tell that whne you guests even comment to you about it. The videographer was great- althought the editting work (not done by him) was horrible. I am still dealing with this 4 months after my wedding. Great price- but you would be taking a huge chance!

I was happy I got what I paid for, However their service was very crappy. They sent the wrong # of DVD's and when we did get it they cut out 1 of the best parts in editing, and then sent the orginal footage on a tape we can't even play. Although the price was cheap, and it turned out good for what we paid for.

This was the worst decision I have ever made. This company, based out of Kentucky, contracts locals to video the wedding and then outsources the editing. I was promised my video in 6 to 8 weeks. It is 8 months later and I have complained with the Attorney General and am taking the company to civil court. I have not had one call ever been placed from the company and they told me they lost my video half the time and the other half they told me it was done. This has been an absolute nightmare! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
