Keeneland is the PERFECT place for a wedding

I can not say enough good things about Keeneland! We knew it was THE place the first time we went there. And every time we met with them, we fell more in love. Not only is it beautiful and perfectly southern, everyone there is kind, helpful, the food was amazing, and the menu was custom!! Meredith Phillips is who to ask for!

We worked with Morgan and Hannah. They were both amazing and made the whole experience so great. The responsiveness that we received was so prompt, even though we were coming from out of state. They answered all of our questions and were such a huge help on the day of. We could not have asked for a better crew of people overall. The entire thing was just a dream and I owe them so much credit for that. Keeneland is definitely a place to consider - you won't regret it!

We chose the Keeneland Barn and Entertainment Center for my daughter's wedding cocktail hour and reception. The event planner, Morgan Whitney, was extremely responsive and accommodating during the >1 year planning process. The food was spectacular from Keeneland Catering. They provided a first class event which will be remembered for years to come. Thanks Morgan and thank you to the Keeneland staff who assisted with making this a memorable evening. Also a shout out to Keeneland Security, who were easy to work with the day after the wedding and allowed us to move and clean out the aftermath on Sunday evening. The only negative we encountered (which is not exclusive to Keeneland) is additional charges that we incurred that you would typically expect to be included in the venue rental charge (i.e. dance floor, draping to cover food service working space)

Keeneland was my dream venue for my Kentucky wedding. Kate and Sarah (Keeneland's event coordinators) were extremely helpful and easy to work with. I was able to meet with them several times to figure everything out and it was great because I was a disorganized bride!

All the staff and Keeneland are wonderful to work with. They were available at all times during the planning process. The reception turned out perfect.

We had our September 2013 wedding at Keeneland and it made the day spectacular! Kate was phenomenal to work with and had wonderful ideas and helped make the process incredibly smooth. The setting is beautiful (we held our wedding in the Keene Barn and Entertainment Center) and is quintessential Kentucky! Our guests LOVED Keeneland and the staff were incredibly professional and thorough. I honestly couldn't be happier with the reception and am truly thrilled with how everything went. Keeneland is a little more expensive than some other venues, but you get what you pay for! Sueticia at Turf Catering is also phenomenal! A number of our guests said the food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding! Keeneland made our wedding day truly spectacular!

Best view you can ever find in Lexington area. Kate (event coordinator) was very professional, organized, punctual, and flexible with what we wanted. She met with us several times during the planning process and made sure everything we wanted was taken care of. On the big day, she was there to help with every detail. The food was amazing!! We got so many compliments on the food and the uniqueness of the venue.

It's impossible not to have a beautiful wedding at Keeneland. We had the greatest experience ever!

Kate Mclean was our contact at Keeneland. She made every aspect of our wedding absolutely perfect. We met many times in the months leading up to our wedding. Every aspect was given the utmost detail. Even when weather looked to play a factor in our wedding she remained positive and our entire wedding surpassed our wildest expectations.

She was very hands on and made planning a wedding easy. She had answers for everything.

Both our ceremony and reception was held onsite at Keeneland. We could never thank her enough!

Excellent venue. Michelle Rapier was wonderful to work with as well as the rest of the Turf Catering staff. They were very attentive, the food and presentation was excellent. Couldn't ask for a better place for photographs!

Libby and all of Turf Catering's staff were amazing to work with. They made planning my wedding easy and stress free. Libby was great about helping me plan to fit within my budget and offered many suggestions that were helpful and showed how well she knows her business. I am very lucky to have worked with Libby.

Libby was really wonderful, so accomodating, took care of everything, really a joy to work with, didn't need a wedding planner! Wonderful venue. Chef was so kind, really flexible, great suggestions, food for over 300 was delicious and HOT, amazing.

The food was amazing and Libby was so easy to work with. She took care of all of the rentals and was very flexible on the menu and how the evening would run. It was expensive but worth every penny!

We chose Keene Place to host our wedding ceremony and reception at. We were unaware of this beautiful venue option until we met with the wedding coordinators out at Keeneland. It is a smaller capacity venue that just recently started being used for weddings, but it was absolutely perfect for our 100 guest wedding. We worked with Sarah Deye as our coordinator and she was such a pleasure. She met with me anytime I wanted to discuss things and look at our venue. We were unable to taste any of the food options prior to our event, but they did not disappoint. There is a "bridal suite" upstairs that me and my bridesmaids used to get ready, and on the downstaris level there is a room they call "the man cave" where my husband and his groomsmen got ready. The grounds are simply stunning. We were able to go do our first look and bridal party pictures in the paddock area as well as with the Keeneland starting gate. Everything from beginning to end ran so smoothly. Big thank you to Sarah and the Keeneland staff for helping our wedding day be nothing less than perfect :)

Keeneland and Turf Catering were both amazing. They were very professional and easy to work with. The whole evening ran perfectly. They are a little pricey, but definitely worth the cost. I wouldn't have wanted my wedding reception anywhere else!

I had thought of my wedding day every single day from the time I was a little girl. When we got engaged, Keeneland was our first thought for our reception site and it did not disappoint. Libby was great to work with. She was very professional and you could tell she took her job very seriously. When I walked into the Keene Barn for our reception, I was taken aback by how beautiful it all was. Everything was just perfect, she had done her best to make sure it was all just as I had wanted. The food was absolutely amazing. To this day, people still comment about how great the food was. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly and played around with us all night...even when my drunk Uncle decided he needed to try and get all of the bartenders to dance at their work stations!

I cannot thank everyone at Keeneland and Turf Catering enough for all that was done to make our day perfect.

We are so happy that we chose Keeneland for our wedding. The staff there is extremely professional and good at what they do. At times hard to get a response from but nothing that changed how our event went. It's the perfect place to have a Kentucky themed wedding. it was beautiful and our guests LOVED the look and layout of the venue.

We had our August 2010 wedding/reception at the Keeneland clubhouse. We knew we wanted to be married at the race track, so it was just a matter of working out the details. Libby was there to help with everything, from the beginning. Also, all the staff we dealt with the day of the wedding were great. Our bartender was Jay, and he was fantastic.
Here are some helpful hints for future brides. You have to, of course, use Turf Catering for your food. We found it much cheaper to have a buffet dinner than heavy appetizers. The appetizer list is priced per piece. So basically, $2.50 per chicken tender, not for two pieces. Needless to say, it added up very quickly. We had the Bluegrass buffet, which was very tasty. It has two meats, which requires two carvers (they won't let you have just 1). Another expense to consisder is the extra rentals that are required. You have to rent chairs for the outside ceremony and the chairs neededfor inside. They only have 80 chairs to use inside and won't allow you to bring the ceremony chairs in. The natural colored chairs at Keeneland cannot be matched exactly. I used the folding ones from Purdon's, which were much better quality than Byrant's. I wasn't crazy about the chairs not matching for my reception, but they seemed to blend in.
The most painful part of the bill is the 20% service charge plus 6% KY sales tax. Make sure you account for the extra money when you get the bill.
We had a great wedding day at Keeneland and wouldn't have changed a thing. You and your guest will enjoy the atomsphere and the reasonable price tag that comes with it.
