Julie was great! She drove to me to do a trial run and the big day- she was very flexible. She had another bride that day but she was able to fit us both in- and the makeup was great.. and lasted all night long in the hot sun and heat! Would definately recommend her!

Julie did my makeup for my wedding day, and I have never ever felt more beautiful than I did on that day! Julie is so sweet, super flexible and incredibly easy to work with. She did a PHENOMENAL job and everyone was commenting on my makeup all day (and night) long! She was able to take inspiration from a photo I provided for her and give me the exact style I was going for. Julie's work is flawless. I would recommend her to anyone. She made one of the best days of my life even better :) Thanks Julie!

Julie was such a great person to work with. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. She did my make-up for my wedding as well as two of my bridesmaids. I thought my bridesmaids look fantastic and I loved my make-up as well! I had a trial done with Julie a few months before my wedding so we could go over the look I wanted. I showed her a picture of the look I wanted and she performed it to a T, it was perfect:) Julie is very professional in her work but she is also very light hearted and fun to be around. She made all of us feel very comfortable and explained what she was doing and why. She also ended up putting fake eyelashes on all of us which was great! We hadn't thought of it and it really added to the look - so kudos to Julie and her artistic mind. I wouldn't have been able to pull off the look without her. Her prices I feel are very good for the service that she provides. She is really is first class and the money is well worth it - especially when she travels to you! Her make-up selection is huge and quality products. I highly recommend Julie services she is wonderful! She is great with her response and very flexible, which can be hard when you are a mom of a yound toddler:)

I made a last minute decision to hire Julie as my make-up artist for my wedding and was so glad that I did. She happily scheduled a last minute make-up trial with me and didn't mind coming to my hotel the morning of my wedding even though only myself and my mother were getting our make-up done. When I had a horrible skin reaction to a waxing a few days prior to my wedding, Julie quickly responded to my crisis email with some suggestions to minimize redness and irritation and on the day of my wedding was able to cover completely any remaining problems; something I know I couldn't have done on my own. I was so glad I had spent the money to hire someone to do my make-up, I can't imagine what would have happened had I had to deal with irritated skin by myself. Julie was also able to work with my mom who was going through chemotherapy during my wedding to make her look beautiful and restore the lashes and brows she lost during treatment; if they didn't already know, no one at our wedding had any idea my mom was in treatment, which made her able to enjoy the day more thoroughly. I really think every bride should treat herself to looking beautiful on her wedding day; Julie is incredibly talented and really understands how to make a bride look like herself but better, and make it last through a full night of dancing!

I had the honor of meeting Julie for the first time through a local photographer, Amy Carroll. Julie had collaborated with Amy to provide make-up for the photo shoot. I loved the make-up so much that I contacted Julie immediately after the photo shoot to inquire about my wedding day make-up.
She is such a pleasure to work with, very friendly and sweet. I love looking at the photos from our wedding day because my make-up looks so natural and beautiful. Julie, thank you for making me feel like a million bucks on my special day!

I cannot say enough about Julie Strating. I contacted her after hearing many rave reviews from other happy brides, and it was very shortly after that I realized why. Julie is not only a total sweetheart, she is incredibly talented at what she does. Her knowledge of makeup and skincare products is impressive. I never knew there were so many ways to apply makeup! Julie knows them all, and she knows which application methods look best for each person. Julie's service far exceeded my expectations. At our trial, she gave me a skin care recipe to use the two weeks leading up to my wedding day, and it truly made a difference. I still use it to this day! She also let me know the foods I should eat to bring out a natural, healthy glow. To sum it up, Julie is just amazing. She is, by far, the best choice for your big day!
