Unfortunately, Nathan and Jay are both busy and will not dj our wedding but I had to write a review anyhow because I was SO impressed during our meeting!! Nathan went above and beyond to meet my fiance and I at the last minute and drove quite a ways, as well. He sat and had coffee with us for over an hour, went through every detail, answered all of our questions and even helped us with recommendations of other vendors. His professionalism and knowledge of the business was impressive and I would have hired them on the spot if they were free. Thanks again, Nathan, for taking the time to meet with us!

Being in the wedding coordinating business myself, I came into my wedding planning situation knowing full well how much work goes into a perfect and flawless event! I must say that Nathan and Finger Lakes Entertainment was the most amazing, professional and fun group to work with!!
In my first meeting with Nate I started with "The most important part of the wedding for me is the music, entertainment, and fun!!" (no pressure right!) Adding to the stress was the fact that I live 3,000 miles away in California! I am so happy I had this group in charge of the entertainment aspect of the wedding, they did not just meet my expectations but by far surpassed what I was hoping for!!!
Aside from being the most friendly and comforting people I worked with, all of my complicated requests were handled perfectly and flawless.
Everything from the ceremony music, to the detailed introductions, a first dace song performed by my brother and sister, and keeping the energy going all evening was just absolutely wonderful!!
I cant say thank you enough! From day one I felt at ease and it was one detail of the wedding I never had to worry about!!!

Nathan Baker & his staff were absolutely phenomenal! We received nothing but professional and quality service. Nate was very easy to work with- we live out of town and he was very flexible to accommodate our schedules. He also provided many suggestions that took the guessing out of the planning process which was extremely helpful! We played a couple games during our wedding that Nate suggested such as freeze frame and the love song buffet game and our guests had an absolute BLAST! Everyone of all ages was on the dance floor all night! Our wedding was a success and we attribute that to Nate and his staff :) You can't throw a kickin' party without a ROCKIN' DJ! A+++!!! I would absolutely recommend!

Nathan was amazing at our Ventosa wedding! He is extremely personable and very professional. We met up two different times for a few hours and discussed how we could make our wedding unique - and he had great ideas! He did the sound for our reception on the terrace and everyone heard the ceremony and the music perfectly. In the ballroom, he did a fantastic job of up-lighting with a dynamic system that kept the colors changing. We told him to keep the party going and he certainly did. He ran the show and at the same time wasn't the show. We couldn't have asked for more!

OMG-- Fingerlakes Entertainment WAS INCREDIBLE for our August 20, 2011 Wedding. Nathan Baker & staff were such an amazing team. He rocked the dance floor all night! Ahhh...the wedding DJ... few creatures in nature are viewed in the same way as the extroverted and eloquent DJ.. Many people hire their DJ with trepidation, fearing intoxicated MC's, horrible playlists and botched audio. If their wedding goes without a DJ disaster, they are relieved..

With Nathan and Finger Lakes Entertainment, those fears, misconceptions, and horror stories are banished from your mind the minute that you meet him. When we first sat down with Nathan it was obvious that this was a man who was a master of his craft. He was laid-back yet eager to make our event perfect. Questions that he has undoubtedly answered a million times before he answered without any aire of disdain. We were able to fill an online playlist with DOs and DONTs (the DONTs are important!! No chicken dance..arghh!!!), and when the event came he and his crew were as calm and collected as anyone on the property. I almost would have rather had him organize the whole wedding!!

I could go on for many more paragraphs, but the fact of the matter is, this company and this man will represent the very best you will be able to find in the area. It is worth a few extra dollars to have the piece of mind that Nathan offers. We did not worry about our music at all! One face to face meeting, one phone call and everything was set, and we didnt even feel like we needed more. Do yourself a favor, meet with him and see for yourself.

Absolutely the best in the state of New York.

Up until about 3 months before our wedding we thought we would have an ipod wedding so we could save money, avoid cheesy wedding music and announcements, and make sure we could have an eclectic playlist going all night. As the planning got more stressful and the reality of hosting a party of about 100 friends and family got more real, I realized we'd need a DJ to make sure the audio equipment would work smoothly and to help coordinate the event. Nathan, the owner of Fingerlakes Entertainment absolutely exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have pulled off our wedding without him! The lapel and hand mics during our ceremony made us sound natural, yet audible to the guests and he made sure our slightly offbeat ceremony music worked perfectly for our brief ceremony. He made sure guests knew what was going on and moved where they needed to for cocktails, dinner, etc. and kept the event flowing in a way we NEVER could have done on our own! He didn't bat an eye when I send him an absurd playlist that was incredibly long and contained more than a few non-traditional wedding songs and he was ready play them in just a few short days. The day of the wedding the temperature was hovering around 90 degrees and Nathan never let any discomfort show, though we all were incredibly hot. It's a testament to his skills that despite the weather, the outdoor dance floor was packed the entire night! He also helped so much with the planning in terms of the schedule of the wedding and how best to introduce divorced parents and their new partners and have a wedding that just felt all around comfortable to us. He completely honored all of our requests in terms of the tone of the event and our song requests. He was willing to get in touch at just about any hour and also to communicate via text. His website is great with tons of interactive planning features and also, the bottom line is that his prices are extremely reasonable. I just can't say enough how much using Fingerlakes Entertainment absolutely MADE our wedding!!!

DJ was fantastic!

Nathan was not our first choice only because we were a much older couple bride and groom (in late 30s) and we thought he probably catered to a much younger crowd and couple in their 20s. However, I believe in fate as the DJ we decided on us (who was much older), his son was getting married on the same day we were...Actually, Nathan was MY first choice and he came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator at the hotel we got married in - the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel which just received it's 4 start AAA rating. <<ladies-this hotel works with you and provides the best service especially for a bride planning a destination wedding - we live in VA but wedding was in NY>>

He provided professionalism, expertise and great recommendations. After months of planning a wedding, the last thing you have time to do is to remember all the cool songs for the different events during the reception. My guests came up to me and said 'great choices' for the bride/groom activities/songs. Many was his idea as he has MC many weddings. Of course, you do not want cookie cutter so we did have some unique ones for our wedding...the majority was his suggestions.

He works with you on many fronts. Since he is our MC - I asked him to work with the other vendors, the photographer, videographer and wedding coordinator at hotel for schedule...and he also put together a nice photo slideshow....he had to do a few takes because I gave him too many pictures! Not his fault but my...he told me how many but I gave him more than he requested for. Again, he knows what works.

His professionalism and candiness is superb. He understands our 'corny' and 'quirky' side - even though we are older, we love to have fun. We danced all night long...even our guests who never danced came up and danced.

The liighting he provided was great. We had the Seneca Package and added a few items....DVD slide show, name in lights and uplighting...If you cannot afford all of it, just get the uplighting - it really does transform a room...

We are a very satisfied customer.

The only recommendation for change I have for Nathan is to fix his automatic email system. He agree that sometimes, it sends email out of sync. It is automatic so you may get an email from Nathan and one from his server...confusing sometimes...'didn't I just talk to you?'...

Thanks Nathan - I was a sweaty bride for dancing all night, my guests said that they had the most fun at our wedding...most elegant and most fun wedding ever (the guests said!)

Can I give them 6 stars instead of 5? So glad we went with this dj for my daughters wedding. On top of being dependable and professional, they were so helpful in calming frayed nerves. We felt so much better after meeting with them and felt secure leaving it in their capable hands. The lighting that they provided and we decided to go with added one more special touch. Couldnt have been happier. Advice: dont skimp on your dj. They keep the party going.

Nathan was great at our wedding. Even when there was a slight equipment malfunction (due to iphones) he found a quick solution and kept on going. All our guests had a great time. Ours was the second wedding in less than a year DJ'd by him and we'd recommend him in a heartbeat. It was especially nice that he traveled all the way to Maryland to do ours.

My husband and I could not be more thrilled that we went with Fingerlakes Entertainment. Our reception was more fun than we ever dreamed it would be, and this in huge part to our DJ and Fingerlakes Entertainment owner, Nathan Baker. Our guests danced ALL NIGHT, and so did we; the soles of my ballet flats were peeling away when I examined them the next morning! Countless guests have commented on how much fun they had, how much they danced, and how great our DJ was.

Funny story, but it turns out that Nathan was the DJ at my cousin and her husband's wedding 5 years ago. I had no idea until the night of our wedding, when Nathan recognized them and vice versa. But I always remembered their wedding as one of the best I've been to... and I always gauge this by how much I danced, and how much I enjoyed the music.

I was looking for a DJ who was professional and not "cheesy" (no gold chains, tacky lighting, or heavy MC'ing, please!) and Fingerlakes Entertainment kept coming up again and again. From my initial conversation with Nathan, to our sit-down meeting, Nathan was nothing but professional, kind, and helpful. He understood our style & what we were looking for right away, and I felt confident from our first phone conversation that he would provide exactly the kind of service we wanted. He was also familiar with our venue and offered sound advice on what we'd need to maximize the acoustics.

Really, I could go on and on. Thank you, Nathan, for helping to create a magical, unforgettable evening!

We couldn't have asked for anything more!! Nathan was absolutely wonderful. He really understood our taste in music (rock music) and found a way to work it into the night so that we heard everything we wanted to yet everyone still got to dance all night long. The ease of the online song request was a big bonus for us as well since this was a destination wedding. Nathan truly made our night and I can't imagine anyone would have come close!

Nate did a fantastic job at our wedding. He was so easy to work with, offered helpful suggestions for music, played what we wanted (and not what we didn't), and kept things moving throughout the reception. Plus he has a great voice. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!!
