Downtown Funk DJs

We were lucky to find Eric (downtown funk DJs), as we were planning our upstate NY wedding all the way from Ohio at the time. From start to finish, Eric made the process extremely easy for us and helped us throw the best party of our lives!!
He is organized and responsive, yet flexible and accommodating to changes. He proactively worked with our photographer extremely well on the day of, to make sure everything flowed perfectly. It was very nice to be able to leave the timeline in their hands so we could enjoy the night instead of worrying about time.
Throughout the night, he made sure to periodically check in with us to make sure he was playing a good mix of our favorites, instead of just going off of a set list of music. He worked really well off of our playlists (which is a feat in and of itself considering our music taste is all over the place- from Bad Bunny to Metallica to Panic! At the Disco and bluegrass) and kept the dance floor packed!
His set-up is sleek and modern and he works well with any space. He arrived early and was ready to go on time without any needing any additional equipment from us. He is kind and professional and throws an awesome party!
Our favorite moment was turning around and seeing him jamming at the DJ booth doing the full choreography to *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye”! 10/10 DJ and person! Would not hesitate to book

Eric was amazing!!! Zack and I got married under a tent in my parents backyard on 9/5/26. Prior to our wedding, we had a series of phone calls. He was very accommodating to our busy schedules. He was super helpful in figuring out a timeline and very organized in adding every detail that we wanted. On the day of the wedding, my wedding coordinator had great things to say about him. He helped keep our timeline moving so us as the bride and groom didn’t even have to think about it. He was also super attentive to when we felt our first dance and parent dances needed to be cut short and smoothly transitioned to the next. His announcements for us and the bridal party were perfect. He also helped us to coordinate a “photo dash” which was ALOT of people to move but it went quick and easy. He played all my requested songs but also filled in some great songs that kept the vibes going. Everyone danced the entire time! The dance floor was constantly packed! His transitions between songs were also perfect!! Highly recommend!!

It was thundering and lightning on our wedding day, and our entire outdoor ceremony had to be moved last minute to a chapel up the street. Eric handled everything so calmly and professionally. He was incredibly prepared, adapted to every change without missing a beat, and was by our side through it all. He kept the day moving seamlessly, making sure we stayed on schedule for our entrances, first dances, and everything in between, which took so much stress off our shoulders.

And once the party started… WOW. Our guests had the absolute best time! We received so many compliments about Eric. He read the room perfectly, played the best music, and kept the dance floor packed until it was time for us to leave. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. If you’re looking for someone who is organized, professional, adaptable, and knows how to throw an unforgettable party, Eric is your guy. We would recommend him to ANYONE!

One of the best indicators of a great wedding is the DJ performance..  Let’s face it….an excellent DJ can make or break a wedding.  We were truly blessed in booking Eric.  He knew the ins and outs of the whole wedding day….he kept us on schedule, he researched the venue ahead of time, he kept the dance floor packed with guests.  The list goes on and on of how he made our day so special.  We highly recommend his services.  The Photo Booth was a big hit with our guests, and he brought so much fun to the party.  He loves what he does, and it shows!  

Eric, did an amazing job DJing our wedding. He played all the music we wanted, and his timing of the songs was perfect, always keeping the crowd engaged and having fun. He was very professional and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process

Eric did a wonderful job with our wedding. He’s a great listener and responds quickly. If you’re looking for someone to keep your guests dancing all night, look no further! His packages are more expensive than some of the DJs we looked at, but the value more than made up for it (for us at least) when you factored in travel, ceremony + cocktail hour coverage, and floor lighting. My husband and I were very happy with our choice.

There are so many great things to say about Eric as a DJ. He was not only a DJ but also helped to wrangle the bridal crew and guests prior to the ceremony. Eric was willing to work with us on all aspects of our day. He was prompt at communicating with us prior to the wedding day and on wedding day. We had an outdoor ceremony- no problem. We didn't want to do the garter and bouquet toss so we did a koozie toss instead to start off the party part of the reception. Eric was in and gave great ideas on how we could really get everyone ready to party and dance. We are an "older" bride and groom which led to an even older majority of guests at the reception. I was slightly worried that would impact our reception. I was pleasantly surprised when it did not impact our reception at all. Eric kept everything moving smoothly at the ceremony and at the reception. The cocktail hour playlist was SPOT ON!!!! We included a few slow dance songs in our must have list. Eric was played a mix of those songs that kept them with a good dance beat but you could also snuggle up with your dance partner to enjoy a slower pace. I can't say enough positive things about Eric. He was a MAJOR part of our day being absolutely perfect. Don't hesitate in hiring Eric for your reception or any party you might be having.

He is very professional and knows how to get a crowd up and dancing! He kept the dance floor hopping all night long!!! He knows how to read the crowd and how to play the appropriate music!

Eric absolutely KILLED it. My husband and I had very high expectations of a DJ because our friends know how to bring on the party, and Eric certainly exceeded our expectations. He was friendly and patient to work with as I had a ton of questions and random requests. He made sure that we were not only satisfied, but happy with our plan/schedule/etc. before and during the wedding. The dance floor was crowded the entire time, so much so that we almost didn’t leave to take sunset pictures because we were having so much fun! If you are looking for a fun, flexible, and fantastic DJ, Eric is your guy!

We are so lucky we found Eric to DJ our wedding! Best kept secret out there, we found out about him through a friend of a friend. He knows every kind of music and was so excited to bring our requests together, while at the same time we never felt like we needed to micromanage him because it was clear he wasn't going to just run a playlist, he's a real DJ who was going to read the room and play what matched. We asked for Lord of the Rings, honkey tonk, Tyler Childers and oh maybe some emo/alternative if he could squeeze it in, and he worked that all in seamlessly. He was so helpful and on the same page with our other vendors the whole time and helped make all the transitions between things run smoothly as the MC. We loved how he read the crowd and kept us dancing till curfew. Lots of folks commented after on how much they enjoyed his work. Eric brought so much to our day we would hire him twice if we could do it again!
