A DJ who knows how to throw a great party!!!!

Eric absolutely KILLED it. My husband and I had very high expectations of a DJ because our friends know how to bring on the party, and Eric certainly exceeded our expectations. He was friendly and patient to work with as I had a ton of questions and random requests. He made sure that we were not only satisfied, but happy with our plan/schedule/etc. before and during the wedding. The dance floor was crowded the entire time, so much so that we almost didn’t leave to take sunset pictures because we were having so much fun! If you are looking for a fun, flexible, and fantastic DJ, Eric is your guy!

Great wedding dj

Eric, did an amazing job DJing our wedding. He played all the music we wanted, and his timing of the songs was perfect, always keeping the crowd engaged and having fun. He was very professional and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process

Highly Recommend

Eric did a wonderful job with our wedding. He’s a great listener and responds quickly. If you’re looking for someone to keep your guests dancing all night, look no further! His packages are more expensive than some of the DJs we looked at, but the value more than made up for it (for us at least) when you factored in travel, ceremony + cocktail hour coverage, and floor lighting. My husband and I were very happy with our choice.

Phenomenal DJ

There are so many great things to say about Eric as a DJ. He was not only a DJ but also helped to wrangle the bridal crew and guests prior to the ceremony. Eric was willing to work with us on all aspects of our day. He was prompt at communicating with us prior to the wedding day and on wedding day. We had an outdoor ceremony- no problem. We didn't want to do the garter and bouquet toss so we did a koozie toss instead to start off the party part of the reception. Eric was in and gave great ideas on how we could really get everyone ready to party and dance. We are an "older" bride and groom which led to an even older majority of guests at the reception. I was slightly worried that would impact our reception. I was pleasantly surprised when it did not impact our reception at all. Eric kept everything moving smoothly at the ceremony and at the reception. The cocktail hour playlist was SPOT ON!!!! We included a few slow dance songs in our must have list. Eric was played a mix of those songs that kept them with a good dance beat but you could also snuggle up with your dance partner to enjoy a slower pace. I can't say enough positive things about Eric. He was a MAJOR part of our day being absolutely perfect. Don't hesitate in hiring Eric for your reception or any party you might be having.

Party Starter

He is very professional and knows how to get a crowd up and dancing! He kept the dance floor hopping all night long!!! He knows how to read the crowd and how to play the appropriate music!

Would hire again in a heartbeat!

We are so lucky we found Eric to DJ our wedding! Best kept secret out there, we found out about him through a friend of a friend. He knows every kind of music and was so excited to bring our requests together, while at the same time we never felt like we needed to micromanage him because it was clear he wasn't going to just run a playlist, he's a real DJ who was going to read the room and play what matched. We asked for Lord of the Rings, honkey tonk, Tyler Childers and oh maybe some emo/alternative if he could squeeze it in, and he worked that all in seamlessly. He was so helpful and on the same page with our other vendors the whole time and helped make all the transitions between things run smoothly as the MC. We loved how he read the crowd and kept us dancing till curfew. Lots of folks commented after on how much they enjoyed his work. Eric brought so much to our day we would hire him twice if we could do it again!

We had the absolute best experience with Downtown Funk DJs back in July 2024, and we can’t recommend him highly enough! From the very beginning, he was professional, organized, and genuinely excited to help make our day unforgettable. And wow—did he deliver.

He read the room perfectly all night long. From the moment the first song played, the energy was incredible. He struck the perfect balance between classic crowd-pleasers and fun surprises, keeping all generations on the dance floor. It wasn’t long before guests who never dance were up and having the time of their lives!

He also helped with all the key moments throughout the evening—the ceremony, reception entrances, announcements, first dances, speeches, timing, and transitions were smooth and seamless. He even checked in with us during the night to make sure everything was going the way we’d hoped (it was better).

So many of our guests are still talking about how fun the music was and how the DJ “absolutely nailed it.” It felt like a true celebration from start to finish, and a huge part of that was thanks to him. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without his talent and energy!

If you’re looking for someone who knows exactly how to set the tone, get the crowd moving, and create lasting memories—this is your guy.

6 Stars for sure!

Don’t hesitate. Hire this DJ for your event. From MCing, to music selection, to overall presentation, you won’t be disappointed in your choice. We hired this DJ for our wedding and it was a blast. We found him very fair with pricing and worked with us to provide the musical atmosphere we absolutely wanted. If there was another star to give, I’d give him 6 stars!

Amazing time, every time!

Amazing! We have used Downtown Funk DJs twice for our event and we'll absolutely be going back again and again. He made the process super easy and walked us through everything from the beginning, including helping with song selection, so that we didn't have to worry about anything.

Professional, on time, and went above and beyond making sure all of the equipment was set up for the perfect environment. He provided the music, the MC talent, mics for us to use, and kept things sooo smooth from start to finish. We even had a lot of compliments from those in attendance, which is always great to hear. :)

From small events to something as large as our with hundreds of people, hire with full confidence!

The best!!

Eric was the perfect choice to DJ our wedding. From providing crystal clear amplification for our ceremony in the woods, to keeping everything on schedule, to keeping the dance floor going all night long, we couldn't have asked for anything more. He was professional, communicative, and fun. Highly recommend!

Eric does a phenomenal job!

Eric was fantastic at our wedding! We chatted beforehand about what kind of music/songs we wanted and he did an amazing job blending our requests with the mood of the reception. It was obvious that he was not just a playlist DJ, and that plenty of thought went into the timing and choice of music that he played. We knew pretty quickly that he would enhance the experience for us and our guests, and I have full confidence he would do the same for anyone else. Music shouldn’t be an added stressor on your big day, and Eric made sure of that by running everything smoothly. If you’re looking for a legit DJ who’s down to earth, flexible, and is responsive to both the vibe of the event and your needs, Eric is your guy. Highly, highly recommend!

Awesome DJ

Eric and Downtown Funk DJ services are fantastic! He did a wedding for a friend of mine out in the Capital Region of NY and he knocked it out of the park! Very attentive to the bride and groom's desires, great at working a crowd and reading the room! He always strives to have everyone enjoying themselves and fills the dance floor. Highly recommend his services!
