Eileen provided all of the collateral for my wedding in January 2011 and her work was amazing. We worked together from the beginning and she took my vision and made it happen. Together we created a "look" for my wedding that I was able to use throughout.

Working with Eileen was amazing, and the finished product was spectacular! We got so many comments/compliments about our clever and crisp invitations and it really helped set the tone for our big day. Eileen exceeded all my expectations! Working with Eileen to create the invites, programs, table cards and escort cards was the most fun I had during the planning of my wedding. When I found out she was in this business I was more than excited to work with her. I dreaded going to the local Hallmark and picking out the same ol' ho-hum invites anyone could pick. It was helpful that she had a number of samples to look at. Eileen was able to see where you were going with your vision and tie in details that made it the perfect end product.

She's also very concious of budget and is able to change things quickly if budgets change midstream. What's really helpful is the experience Eileen brings to the table. When I had a certain vision and that she knew wouldn't perhaps turn out the way I thought, she was able to steer me in the right direction in the most helpful and professional way. No one wants to upset a bride and her vision! But Eileen was wonderful! She made all the parts come together so that I was able to have the theme I really wanted throughout my wedding. I always wanted custom invitations and stationary for my wedding, I just couldn't afford the custom price tag. Eileen was able to work within my budget, to make it a reality. She took my ideas and made them so much better. Her experience really gives her an edge for recommendations and suggestions while not keeping to the cookie cutter type invitations. She was so patient, focused and flexible---there is truly nothing more I could have asked for. She completely satisfied my expectations and truly went above and beyond.

I was fortunate enough to have Eileen's services for my entire wedding stationary selections from save the dates to her current project of mine, creating newlywed stationary. From the start, Eileen was eager to meet with me to discuss options, ideas, and gain an understanding of my vision for wedding stationary and how she could use her art to make it happen! She met with me at my home, brought her entire portfolio and selections of paper, ribbon, colors, etc., and a sampling of ideas she had already brainstormed and drafted! From the invitation to the church progam and menu cards and place cards and table numbers her work was breathtaking and created the look of traditional modern sophistication I dreamed of. I received compliment after compliment on each piece even months after my event! I have never seen her quality of design anywhere else. And on top of it, she was a delight to work with. As a marketing professional and a budget bride, I envisioned matching paper products with my personal wedding "brand" on them throughout each stage of our event...but of course at a cost that wouldn't leave us strapped for honeymoon cash. =)

Lucky for me, Eileen works nearby and hosted me in her home to brainstorm on creative ways to pinch pennies and create an elegant design that would work on my invitations, thank-yous, programs and favors. We ended up with a product that excluded envelope liners and inner envelopes (better for the environment, I convinced my traditional self), and digital files for programs, favor labels and thank you cards that I would print at Kinko's to save a bit of paper/printing cost.

She was able to perfectly match the lace theme from my wedding dress with a beautiful scrolling pattern in print, and encouraged a more modern feel with green envelopes to match my girls' bridesmaid dresses. What a fresh solution for the bride who has her own sense of style that can't be found in pages upon pages of pre-designed wedding invitations!

As I assembled each invitation, I became more pleased with each envelope I sealed and was so excited to receive my green-enveloped response cards day after day. Now that the event is over and I'm going through items to save forever in my scrapbook, I am so pleased with the decision to have custom-made pieces.

I was NOT surprised in anyway to see 5's across the board for Eileen Newell Design. If you had to summarize the reviews-SIMPLY THE BEST! As most people know, planning a wedding can be very overwhelming, but not when you work with Eileen. The only thing overwhelming I experienced with END was picking ONE of her amazing creations--she took one idea and showed it to us in many different, yet beautiful varieties. If there was a point I couldn't choose between two designs--she would find a CREATIVE way to incorporate both!

I believe Eileen knew exactly what I was looking for before I even shook her hand. I didn't want the standard formal designs that alot of brides choose-I wanted something that represented my husband and I- and that is exactly what I got with Eileen, if not more! Along with all of the vendors I worked with, we didn't want to be known as a # or Poole/Nuzzo Wedding and I knew Eileen was much more than that. She was always accessible-and not just with me, but with my mother as well. Eileen will always find the time to touch base, email back, or "meet half way." I should mention our wedding was in June 27th 2009--and even at the busiest time of the year for her, she was always "good to go" BEFORE our deadlines. Her organizational skills can relax a nervous bride--I never had a bridezilla moment because "I had Eileen"--even if I couldn't find table card holders or stamps, "It's ok, we have Eileen!" and she would always point me into the right direction.

Of course, I had one hesitation with having custom invites made because of what I read in all of the bridal magazines about the extra cost. Then when I saw all of Eileen's samples and the detail she put into every piece of her work I thought I had set myself up for disappointment because it wouldn't work in my budget. That was NEVER the case with Eileen, she always found a way to keep the overall vision within my budget. We were so impressed from Day One that my mother went to Eileen for my shower invites (which were nothing less than magnificent), before we knew it she was our "go to vendor" for ideas on everything! She created our table cards, escort cards, menus, programs, and of course the personalized invitations my guests went crazy over--all within my budget.

To sum it all up: I HIGHLY recommend Eileen Newell Designs. She has so many great services to bring to the table. She is the first vendor I refer to a newly engaged friend. Words cannot describe how happy I am that I found Eileen. Eileen is awesome! She was so easy to work with and I basically trusted her to make my invitations, programs, table name cards, place cards and rehearsal invitation look amazing. Eileen Newell just did my invitations and menus for my August 1, 2001 wedding. I met Eileen at the venue where we were planning our reception, Willowdale Estate, in Topsfield, MA. Immediately I was drawn to Eileen's work on display and knew I wanted to hire her. I was only in town for one week and Eileen offered to come to my parents house where I was staying to have an in person consultation. After showing Eileen some of my ideas for my wedding she immediately got a sense of what kind of invitations I wanted.
Soon after our meeting I began receiving emails from Eileen with mock ups in which I would give her feedback on the 30+ mock ups until I had a finished product I loved. Being able to work so closely with the designer even when I was in MD and Eileen was in MA was a lot of fun. I really felt like I got to help design my own wedding invitations rather than just choose some generic one from a book that a million other people had used for their wedding.
When I received a copy of the final proof in the mail I was out of my mind with excitement. I LOVE MY WEDDING INVITATIONS! They were exactly what I wanted, my mother and fiancé joked that they hadn't seen me that excited about anything else in the whole wedding including my dress. I guess it was just very important to me to have an invitation that clearly displayed my color scheme, was unique, and made a statement about what kind of wedding I wanted. I hoped that my guests would open the invite and think WOW this is a great invite. It turns out everyone did. I got so many compliments on my wedding invitation, I'm really not sure anyone else has really experienced that.
Now exactly one month after my wedding I still look at my wedding invitation and fall in love all over again. I am so grateful to Eileen for giving that to me. She was a pleasure to work with and was able to work around the fact that I lived in MD and my wedding was in MA. I also hired Eileen to do our wedding menus so that they would coordinate with the invitations and color scheme. Those also came out fantastic. As an artist myself I originally contemplated designing and producing my own invitations and other stationary. Luckily coming to my senses I hired Eileen which made my life a million times easier and the end result was probably a billion times better.
