Desserts by Rita is THE place to get your wedding cake! Our cake turned out beautifully! We were thrilled when we saw it and even happier when we ate it. Our cake was a three layer cake for about 75 people. Within this cake, we had five different flavors. The flavors complimented each other beautifully and it was so moist and buttery. At the end of the night, there wasn't a single piece left. People were getting 2 or 3 slices!

Our cake was delicious, moist and everyone at the wedding complimented its appearance and taste. We gave our caterer a picture of the cake we wanted and she took it to Desserts by Rita and the duplicated it perfectly. We were very pleased and would recommend them to anyone!

The cake from Desserts by Rita was so yummy and beautiful. We had the strawberry cake for the largest layer and vanilla and raspberry chocolate for the second layer. Everyone loved it. They were very professional and the cake turned out exactly how we had planned.

Our wedding cake from Desserts by Rita's was not only very beautiful but also very delicious! Many guests commented that it was one of the best tasting wedding cakes they had ever had. The cake is so moist and there are a variety of flavors so you don't have to have plain old white cake. At our tasting, we tried several types and decided on the bottom tier lemon, the middle tier chocolate raspberry, and the top tier was a combo of both (I can't wait to eat it on our one year anniversary!) Cindy is very easy to work with and really knows what she is doing. I gave her a basic idea of what I wanted (like what colors), but told her to do what she thought was best, and it turned out so much better than what I could have imagined on my own...so don't be afraid to give her some artistic freedom. The cake was decorated beautifully with pink "ribbon" around the bottom of each tier and light green details. Also, Cindy used some hydrangeas in between the layers which was the perfect touch. I am going to start getting our every occasion cakes (birthday, etc) there because they are really delicious!!! I HIGHLY recommend getting your wedding cake (and any other cakes) here!

We went to desserts by Rita because they work directly through the Vandiver Inn (but they also work on their own as well). So we were a little nervous because the cake is included with the venue's package and we didn't know how good it would be. But WOW!
They are so nice and set up a really nice cake tasting with you, and will answer the question, "what flavor is this again?" like a million times still with a smile on their faces. And even though we had our cake included in the package, we still got to choose the flavor and style and design, and we didn't feel limited at all in selection!
We went with a cupcake cake, which allowed us to get a ton of flavors. And the top layer was a mini cake that we got to take home. It came out beautifully!!! We got so many compliments on the design, as well as the taste! We saw people taking some home with them and in the end there were none left, so obviously they were popular! In the end we were super happy with Rita's.

This is the best cake in the entire world. It's buttery and moist and perfect. They are responsive about trying to do the design you want, and their prices are standard. One thing to note - they don't do fondant. I consider this a positive, but it's something brides should know.

The staff at Rita's was wonderful, we did our tasting in the Havre de Grace shop and then ordered at the one in West Ocean City. The cake was beautiful and tasted great, even a few days after the wedding. Everyone loved it and I'd highly recommend them to anyone!

Rita is remarkable. She was patient with us at the tasting, worked through some of the pictures i brought of what I thought the design should look like. The cake was so perfect not only was it beautiful it tasted amazing. She is passionate about her work.I can't say enough good things about her!

Our wedding cake was perfect!!! So delicious and looked beautiful as well. Chocolate raspberry and Strawberry Vanilla, No left overs!! Our friends and family could not tell us enough how great it was. Very easy to work with met with them once for a tasting and to pick the design after that they did the rest.

The cake was absolutely delicious. The only thing was we had to pick up the cake ourselves and transport it to the wedding site. We also used a cake stand and needed to return it the next day which was kind of a hassle. It would have been better if we could have returned it a within a few days. The cake itself was gorgeous and tasted wonderful! We got a lemon layer, a mix of chocolate and vanilla layer and a chocolate raspberry layer.

Our wedding cake not only looked amazing, but it tasted amazing!! Cindy at Desserts by Rita really captured what we were looking for in a wedding cake. It was calla lilly-themed, with maroon ribbons interspersed throughout the adornments. Our cake was placed on a victorian stand, so each of the three levels were separated. This made the cake prettier when cut and served to our guests. While Cindy had many flavors of cake and icings to try, we went with the party-pleasers of chocolate and yellow cake with buttercream frosting. Yum! I think I had 3 slices that night! I can't wait to enjoy the topper in a year! And we'll definitely be going back to Desserts by Rita for other cakes in the future!

Being that I am a former cake decorater, I had very high standards for our wedding cake and Desserts By Rita lived to up every expectation I had and more. The cake looked amazing and tasted fresh and delicious. I would definately recommend this cake company, everything is made fresh and on site, no buttercream icing from a tub. We look forward to eating it again on our anniversary!!
