Wedding Cakes in Baltimore

Michael created the most beautiful and delicious cake. His red velvet and almond flavors were the talk of the wedding! We had guest asking if we had more cake the next day haha We did a 3-tier cake in red velvet, and an additional sheet cake of the almond. The cake was decorated with beautiful red roses and a cake topper. Michael was professional and easy to work with. Thank you so much!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with this vendor, one of the things I realized this time around is that a lot of cake bakers do not give actual cake for the tasting but rather cupcakes. Charm City did not do that. They provide cakes in little glass containers for you to taste their cakes. As someone who believes that cakes and cupcakes taste differently. It was such, an incredible way of doing that. Every cake that we tasted from the sample we wanted however, we ended up doing a smaller cake to pick a 4 dozen cupcakes because we loved all of the flavors. Our guests enjoyed the cake and cupcakes as well. There was nothing left, which is always a good sign.

Motti of Pariser’s Bakery was one of our favorite vendors we got to meet and know. His advice and frankness really allowed us to think hard about what was important to us for our wedding. Originally, we thought let’s have five different flavors of cupcakes so there’s a variety for people to eat, but he shared his experience with us about when certain flavors run out, guests become unpleased that they didn’t get the specific flavor cupcake they wanted, which results in having a ton of leftovers and unhappy wedding guests. So, we listened and decided on chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. They turned out amazing, and everyone enjoyed them! We didn’t have any leftovers. It was a pleasure working with Pariser’s Bakery! Thank you Motti for providing us with some humor during the wedding planning process!

Sweet Course Baking Company made the most delicious pies for our wedding! After meeting with Mike and Mary-Marie we knew they would be perfect for our wedding. They were very attentive to our wants and made quite a variety of flavors for us. We ordered fruity pies, such as apple, peach and cherry, as well as sweeter pies like key lime, chocolate, and lemon meringue. They were all delicious and everyone at the wedding talked about how amazing they were! Mike and Mary-Marie were extremely easy to work with, very personable and not to mention, their pies were amazing! We feel very fortunate to have had them make the dessert at our wedding so delicious!

We opted to do a 3 layer 8in cake for our wedding cake. It was perfect for what we were looking for & very reasonable in price! Would highly recommend them!

I found Sarah while looking for a cake for our save the date photo shoot. She gave us the cutest heart-shaped, almond and rasberry flavored, vintage lambeth-piped cake in the world. But when I took a bite, I was IN SHOCK. It was the best cake I had ever eaten in my life (and I don't play about cake, it's my favorite food). I immediately wanted more from her. For my bridal shower, my sister made sure to order another cake from her--this time the cutest chocolate sheet cake decked out in blue florals to match my theme. Now, I'm the only vegan in my family (heck, I'm the only vegan they know), so it could have been a risk to provide a party with a fully vegan cake. But no, everyone raved about it all day! Now here is where I got sad. We were getting married in Hershey, PA and cake came with our catering from the venue. However, when we had our tasting, I just wasn't super impressed, and the vegan flavor they offered had no real frosting on it. It was important to me that my cake be GORGEOUS and delicious AND something I could eat. We called Sarah very last minute and she let us know that she had already taken on a wedding that same day. But, like she does, she worked her magic and found a way to work with us. We had her serve a three tiered vegan cake and we did extra "regular" sheet cake from the venue for more servings. She took one look at my Pinterest board and said "I got this," and when I walked into my reception on the day of the wedding, there it was--the cake of my DREAMS. Not only did Sarah work with us on a time crunch, come hours early to set up our cake, add the cake topper we left with the venue herself, and ensure that the cake was safe and stable, she did all of that without needing to contact us once. She was in and out, in contact with our coordinator, organized and efficient. It was like a magical cake fairy came and blessed our wedding with a masterpiece. The cake was everything I had dreamed and more. She understood our vision so speedily. She worked within our color scheme, the piping was flawless, and she even added the sweetest and most delicate piped floral details AND LITTLE MINI PINK BOWS!!!! And of course, it's Plant Baked By Sarah, so we have to talk about the taste. It was the best cake in the world. Our bottom tier was the almond cake with raspberry jam that we fell in love with at our save the date photo shoot, the middle tier was the chocolate cake with chocolate ganache that we were starstruck over at my bridal shower, and the top tier was a lemon cake with raspberry jam--something new and delectable to remind us of our wedding forever. It was all truly and simply perfect, flawless, stunning. From the TASTE, to the PRESENTATION, to Sarah's COMMUNICATION, her insanely amazing PRICING/VALUE, her EASE TO WORK WITH, and the OVERALL JOY FACTOR of booking with Plant Baked By Sarah, I give everything 5 stars again and again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ And may I just end on this, and every vegan knows how I feel when I hear it--everyone I've spoken to since the wedding has told me "the vegan cake was SO much better than the other one." 💖

my wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL. von was willing to do what i wanted for it, even though it was slightly outside her normal realm. the cake was a HIT. EVERYONE who had some complemented how beautiful and delicious it was. she is VERY flexible with her payment plans and is always willing to go with what the bride's vision entails. she was professional and courteous and i recommend her to ANY and EVERYONE in the baltimore/metro area

Oooh So Sweet made us an amazing skeleton cupcake cake that everyone loved! We had lots of compliments, not only on how good it tasted, but how cute and creative it was! We called multiple places that told us they could not do this, but Oooh So Sweet pulled it off brilliantly!

Midnight Confections are the best cupcakes. We used to eat them when living in Baltimore. We got 160 cupcakes in four different flavors. We were given a small cake for cutting. Everyone raved about the cupcakes and there were none left at the end of the night.

Jennifer Humphrey made our wedding cake for our wedding. She is located in Baltimore, MD and has a small business out of her home. This is not the first cake that we have ordered from her, nor will it be the last. Her work is impeccable and the flavors are out of this world. Her prices are very reasonable and her cake decorating and artistic ability is out of this world. We cannot thank her enough for all the hard work she put into our wedding cake.
