When my daughter Maia and I were planning her wedding, we heard from several people about what gorgeous wedding photography Susan Helgeson does. After looking at her web site and meeting with her, we were sure that she would be the right person to entrust with this important job, and were we ever right! Susan was a real pleasure to work with--she's relaxed and warm, and a total professional with an artistic eye and great sense of timing. We're all thrilled with the photos and albums, which captured the day perfectly and are a true family keepsake.

I had the opportunity to meet with Susan twice before my wedding day. Once with my Mom and the 2nd time with my Fiance.

I hit it off with Susan from the get-go. She was calm and confident within herself that just oozed radiance. She also offered an album that was more traditional and exactly what I wanted. I liked that she didn't "assume" I was a modern bride and wanted the "coffee table" look album. She had ALL different styles from traditional to modern laid out for me to look at.

I had interviewed about 3 other photographers aside from Susan. Susan never once asked me who else I had met with or who I was mtg. with within her profession (((thank you))). The other photographers really made it awkward / uncomfortable when they would ask me what other photographers I had interviewed. And they all kind of did it the same sly way at the end of the mtg... what gives?

Susan and Yve (her assistant) were magical. They were professional, fun, and helpful in getting the shots I wanted and then some! The were never intrusive and blended so well during the reception I forgot at times they were there.

Susan even drove my husband and myself to the beach to catch the sunset for pictures. It was absolutely amazing and really the highlight of my night. I had second guessed going last minute during the reception in fear of leaving my guest. Susan reminded me how bad I wanted the sunset shots and I felt like a little girl as we all snuck away to the beach. The beach shots are absolutely b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l and as I look back to that day, I am so grateful Susan reminded me how important those shots were to me. It was one of the reasons we picked the venue!

My wedding day was nerve racking enough and Susan's calm energy helped balance my emotions.
