Tips and Advice

PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF YOUR WEDDING.

1.       Only the photography lives on.

2.       Only the photography keeps your wedding fresh in mind when memories become dim.

3.       Only the photography  becomes a record of family history – of your loved ones at this moment in time.

CONSIDER:

1.       PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE & PORTFOLIO DEPTH:

a.       It is easy in this ditigal age to showcase a good shot or two but not be able to replicate that at every wedding.

b.      View complete weddings

c.       Make sure the photographer is showing only his/her own work.

d.      Photographers can buy advertising and sample albums using someone else’s pictures and unfortunately, the digitial revolution has made it all too easy to steal images from more accomplished photographers.

2.       EXPERIENCE- make sure you hire a real photographer who knows the technical aspects of photography.

a.       The digitial revoilution has also greatly lessened the barriers to entry in the wedding photography business

b.      We have seen an influx of newbies who  shoot on automatic, not knowing an f-stop from focal length.

c.       We hear  of brides who never get their pictures or find that their wedding photographs look like snapshots no better than their guests’ pictures.

3.       PERSONALITY – finally, make sure your photographer is someone you like, someone who you are willing to have closely interact with your family and closest friends on one of the the best days of your life.  It’s a disaster if you or your loved ones clash with your photographer. Make sure you click with the photographer you retain.
