Red Bird Hills Photography was born on October 22, 2009. Red Bird Hills philosophy was born on my grandmother’s porch sometime in the late-80s. Both of us, much younger then, took the time to notice the little things…the occasional spotting of grandma’s favorite red bird, the Cardinal, the warm summer air, the setting of the majestic Smoky Mountains and the soundtrack that nature generously provided. It was then and there that I learned to appreciate the simple life. It was then and there that I learned what is truly important.

As I learn and grow with this beautiful gift that is my work, photography, I am reminded to stop and take it all in once in a while…and celebrate what’s simple.
