We first heard about Matt Montalvo from our venue coordinator who showed us some of the awesome work he had done at our venue and promoted him as one of the best photographers they work with on a regular basis. We were initially really impressed with the consistent quality of Matt's work. When we contacted him he was super personable and humble, yet still very confident in his ability and experiences. We were pleasantly surprised to see that he was laid back and easy to work with and communicate our ideas. Matt was also very responsive to our emails and questions throughout the wedding planning process and even spent a long time on the phone with me at one point, talking through what would be the best ceremony time so he could work with the lighting to accomplish the type of family and couples portraits I wanted.

On the day of the wedding Matt had the process down to a science. He was super efficient, and very personable with the wedding party and all our guests. We always trusted he'd get the right shots and knew exactly who to include in the pictures. He was also very good at framing interesting photos to make every photo interesting. At the reception, Matt agreed to take photos of each table as the bride and groom visited with guests, and captured great shots of all the dancing. Lastly, after the wedding, Matt had photos ready on his website while we were still on our honeymoon, and was able to send DVDs of photos the week after we got home! We were impressed by his quick service and detailed eye to produce great finished photos and every picture he took was delivered to us. We even asked for a few extra soft edits and Matt threw them in our package without hesitation! Also Matt guarantees all photos will be safe as he backs up his harddrive and takes all necessary precautions.
