Mary's style of wedding photography is modern, fun, colorful, and dramatic.

If you are looking for a photographer who will take you to the gardens where 'everyone goes to do their wedding photos', then Mary is not the photographer for you. We thrive on new and unapparent locations for our portraits. A rusty abandoned factory with ivy growing out of the brick is far more provoking than any rose garden or popular hot spot.

Our style of photographing is a our own take traditional meets photo journalistic. Capturing candid moments is a no-brainer, anyone with a camera can take photos of real people being themselves. Making those candids artistic, emotional and powerful is where we differ. When it comes to the portraits of the bride and groom, Mary does pose you. Pose isn't always a bad word, it's been getting a bad rap lately. Making sure that you are posed in the most flattering light & position, with a beautiful background is the traditional aspect of posing. Once 'posed' Mary Wyar Photography just wants to document the love, moments, the reality of the day. It's the best of both worlds.

All of our wedding packages include your digital negatives! You will receive them with your completed wedding album.

Mary uses professional Canon digital cameras with Canon's L-Series professional lenses

Our booking fee is 1/3 of your total wedding package cost.

6 months prior to the wedding we require the second 1/3 installment, and 2 months prior to the wedding, your final balance is due.

Yes, we accept credit cards!

We do offer a gift registry to all of our wedding clients.

3 weeks after the wedding you will receive a link to view the first draft of your album design, shortly there after, you will be able to access all of your wedding photos in our custom proofing website. Our favourites will also be posted on the blog.

Your wedding album takes 3-6 months to be completed.

Yes, we do boudoir photography! Our shoots are rockin and we would love to show them off, but respect our fabulous client's privacy. You can view more info by clicking here. Sample images available by phone request only.

We most certainly do have insurance! We have coverage through a comprehensive, multi-insurance carrier.

We are based out of Northwest Ohio, but are willing to travel anywhere in the world to photograph weddings, portraits, events, you name it! our travel rates are quite reasonable.


We most certainly do retouch photos... One thing Mary has mastered in the years she has been capturing digital images is being super efficient at the post process work. All of your wedding images will not only be corrected for color and density, but extra time will be spent on the formal family portraits and all the portraits of the bride and groom to make everyone look their best.


Mary's editing philosophy is: 'I want you to LOOK how you FEEL on your wedding day... makeup can melt, you might get a pimple, or you may even be tired BUT you would never know any of that from looking at your wedding photos.'


Bottom line you have paid a lot of money for your wedding photography, you deserve to look your best in your images.
