Selecting Amy Simkus as our photographer was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She is very easy to work and communicate with and is just so kind. While taking pictures, she is a such a hype woman!! She truly makes everyone feel at ease, even for those who are camera shy. We met with with Amy to discuss the flow of the day and she built a great timeline based off our discussion. She answered our questions, gave advice and ensured she knew everything/everyone we wanted captured so we didn't have to worry about that on the day of. We did not have a wedding planner, so we used the detailed timeline Amy had created as a guide for the rest of our vendors. On the wedding day, she worked so well with all of the vendors, even helping lead them (the videographer) so everyone got the shot they needed and it all ran smoothly. Throughout the entire process and the day of, it was clear that she is very experienced which was such a relief for me. I also really appreciated that she was very open to any idea I had and would make it happen. The pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous. The editing enhances the pictures but they still look natural and classic. I would absolutely recommend Amy Simkus to anyone looking for a photographer!!

Amy is simply amazing!!! I received 9 sneak peaks 24 hours after my wedding day and was instantly speechless. I was very shocked with the quick turn around time. The pictures turned out exactly as I had dreamed up in my head. I didn’t even need to tell her where I hoped to take pictures at the venue, she already read my mind. Also, during the cocktail hour and reception her or her assistant was always nearby where I could give them a quick signal to grab a picture with a friend or family member. Aaron and I were nervous about so much attention and so many cameras (2 photographers and 2 videographers) and we barely noticed they were there at the reception. I felt like a kid in a candy stop looking through each and every picture. Take note---I have only seen the sneak peaks. I cannot even imagine how I will feel when I get the entire gallery. The day of the wedding my entire family and bridal party kept mentioning how wonderful Amy was to work with. She kept things moving while making it fun (especially for a lot of people who don’t love their picture taken). Even my father-in-law said "The photographers pictures look like a dream. She captured the moments just like I remembered. WOW!!" My mother-in-law also loved working with her so much she kept saying the next day "Amy might be my new best friend." I appreciate Amy more than she will ever know. I might be tearing up right this moment so grateful my PERFECT day was captured so beautifully. I knew I could trust her capturing my big day after doing an amazing job for my engagement photos. GO BOOK HER NOW IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER. I happened to stumble upon her work on social media I believe and loved her light, airy, natural style. I am not sure I will ever be able to use anyone else to capture important moments in my life.

Amy Simkus Photography was the best possible pick of all our wedding vendors. Amy herself, is the most professional, personable and kind person I have come across. The entire day was planned out to the very last minute and every small detail was captured in the most beautiful way possible. Amy was completely responsive to any idea, or request I had, and so willing to answer any questions we had through the planning process. She made our day completely seamless. I would say the most amazing part about her presence, is that it’s almost like she isn’t there. Nothing is in your face or distracting from the big special moments, but she captured them beautifully. All the photos were genuine smiles, with her infectious laugh. We were able to see a couple sneak peeks the night of the wedding and little surprises on social media along the way. Photos are edited and released on her blog very quickly. I would recommend Amy and her assistant 100%.

Just like any bride, I wanted my day to be perfect and I wanted it to be captured in a fun, dreamy, beautiful way. Lucky for me, I came across work that Amy did and I knew I needed to talk with her. After chatting on the phone, I knew I had made the right decision. If you are looking for fun, kind and spunky photographer, Amy is the photographer for you! After being in a few weddings, I knew I wanted someone who was able to take charge and direct a group of people and someone who was comfortable and friendly to work with. Amy is just that. She was was beyond a joy to work with and I can't begin to tell you the amount of compliments I have received for not only her work but for her professionalism and personality. She fit in perfectly with our group! My pictures were everything I could have wanted and so much more. They are timeless and tell the story of the many blessings we had that day.
