Marvin was the officiant for my son’s wedding on the beach, and he was absolutely marvelous! He immediately put us all at ease and created such a loving, sweet atmosphere for the ceremony. We loved every moment of it. Marvin truly spoke from the heart and brought so much aloha to our family celebration.

My husband and I were Lahaina residents and planned to marry in October 2023. We wanted to hire vendors with strong roots on Maui and Marvin is a lifelong Lahaina resident. He is an extremely talented musician who also happens to be a well-respected MPD officer. We had the privilege of hearing him perform before we were engaged and it was no-brainer he would be our musician for the wedding ceremony and cocktail reception.

My husband and I lost our home and everything else in the Lahaina fire, 2 months shy of our wedding. Marvin did too. This meant we had to plan a second wedding later in 2024 and didn't know which vendors would still be around. We were so happy to hear Marvin could still participate. If you want someone with a beautiful voice, gifted musician and all-around great person in the Lahaina community, Marvin is THE guy! Mahalo Marvin! We "lava" that you could be part of our long-awaited special day.

My Husband and I just got married on the island of Maui and we knew we wanted live music to have at the wedding. Our planner suggested Marvin and after listening to a couple songs it was an immediate yes! Marvin surpassed my expectations. He was absolutely amazing and our guests loved the live music. My wife and I eloped in Maui in September of 2023, and having Marvin be a part of our special day was the best decision! He is extremely talented and the music he performed during our ceremony was perfect. His voice and the ukulele are so beautiful. On top of all of that, Marvin is just a great guy, and having him participate in our ceremony helped make it extra special. It’s also worth adding that our elopement was only about 6 weeks after the devastating and tragic fires in Maui and Marvin’s attendance at our wedding and encouragement to come to Maui really helped make us feel like we were making the right decision. I highly recommend Marvin Tevaga for any event! My husband and I both grew up on Maui and we were looking for a local musician and found Marvin! He is incredibly talented, kind and friendly! We had him perform for our ceremony as well as during our cocktail hour. The music he played made the day even more romantic! He sent us a list of songs that he's able to play and I was incredibly happy that he already knew a song that I wanted for our processional. Marvin is so talented!! We felt so lucky to have him perform at our ceremony and cocktail hour. His voice is so beautiful, and the ukulele brought the Aloha spirit to our wedding day. We had to move our wedding date a number of times due to COVID, which was horrible and deflating. When people asked us why we just didn’t go the courthouse route, we had two reasons: we wanted our wedding to be memorable after the pain of moving it so many times, and we couldn‘t imagine our wedding day without Marvin. He was just that important to us. We had to change almost all of our other vendors, but it was worth it as long as we had Marvin on our wedding day.

Our wedding coordinator recommended Marvin, and when we heard a sample of his music, we didn’t have to consider anyone else. We had Marvin play both a list of songs in Hawaiian and in English for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Two of our guests even begged him to stay longer because they were so moved by his voice and spirit. They couldn’t stop raving about him.

We definitely want to hire him for our eventual anniversary dinner. If you have the opportunity to hire Marvin for your event, you should take it enthusiastically.

Marvin Tevaga was our musician for our ceremony and "reception" for our elopement/wedding for two at beautiful Merriman's. He played Cannon in D for the ceremony which was so beautiful. We requested a song to play at the end of our ceremony that he learned in less than 2 weeks! He even joined us during our photography session, playing while we took photos. He was absolutely wonderful and such a wonderful presence during our intimate ceremony and wedding celebration for just the two of us. I would recommend him to anyone getting married in Maui looking for a true-talent!!
