Built in 1907 as a cigar factory, this beautiful brick structure is home today to the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research. Complete with original brick walls and period reproduction light fixtures the ballroom creates a warm glow which makes it the perfect location for your next event. We discovered this unique venue three years ago from a potential client. While everyone stumbles over the name, "Lions Eye Institute," everyone who tours the location agrees the rennovated cigar factory is an AWESOME location for a wedding reception. The beautiful brick interior walls and exposed ceiling features all add to the unqueness of the location which characterizes the Ybor City community. With seating up to 200 guests with dance floor, Lions Eye main room offers subdued lighting, dance floor, and an assortment of high cocktail tables to compliment the 60" round tables and ballroom chairs. They allow outside catering and your outside alcohol. The nearby meeting room can accommodate up to 160 guests for a ceremony with added decor. Even though the complex is located south of the 7th Avenue main thoroughfare, its gated location offers security for all guests.
