Armature Works is a beautifully restored waterfront wedding venue located near downtown Tampa, Florida. This stunning historic property has six event spaces to host memorable wedding festivities. Originally built in 1910, this building is replete with classic charm, with restored windows, exposed brick walls, and hardwood floors for a welcoming ambience.
Facilities and Capacity
Armature Works has two full restaurants, multiple event spaces, a rooftop bar, a communal courtyard, and a market hall featuring local restauranteurs. A couple may enjoy an indoor wedding in The Gathering with over 10,000 square feet of event space that can ably seat up to 700 guests - suitable for even very large celebrations. Complete with top-of-the-line lighting and sound equipment while paired with a rustic industrial interior, this area makes for a picture-perfect backdrop to the day. For a quieter occasion, couples can host a celebration with 200 friends and family in The Theatre. What was once a performance area, the Theatre is now an open-plan event space complete with original flooring, shiplap wall accents, and wrought iron fixtures. The warm ambient lighting hanging from the ceilings creates a cozy atmosphere in the 2,500 square foot space. During the summer months, nearlyweds can opt for Rooftop 220, featuring waterfront views of Hillsborough River and Downtown Tampa. An indoor and outdoor space, Rooftop 220 with its open-air deck can host a memorable ceremony before the attendees wander inside for a cocktail reception.

Everything we hoped for and more!
Every area, from the event spaces to the bridal suite and restrooms, was pristine, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff was phenomenal and incredibly attentive, and leading up to the wedding our event coordinators made the entire process so easy, organized, and genuinely enjoyable.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would choose Armature Works and their event spaces over and over again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stunning venue with an exceptional team.

From our very first meeting with Madison, we knew we were in amazing hands. She was absolutely unbelievable—kind, organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day as special as it could be. Every step of the process felt easy and enjoyable thanks to her and the entire Armature Works team.
Obviously I’m a little biased toward this venue, but I genuinely highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding space that’s both meaningful and functional. The venue itself is beautiful, spacious, and incredibly well-maintained. We never felt cramped, even with all our guests, and the layout flowed perfectly from ceremony to reception.
One thing we especially appreciated: the temperature control. We’d been to a few weddings in the months leading up to ours, and so many of them felt uncomfortably hot—especially once the dancing started. At Armature Works, the climate was perfect all night long. How do I know for sure? My mom didn’t mention it once—and she always mentions if she’s hot. That’s the gold standard!
The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Everything was set up exactly how we imagined, and I never once worried about something going wrong. It’s rare to feel that level of trust and peace on such a big day.
If you’re considering Armature Works as your wedding venue—do it. It was the best decision we made.
