Our cocktail hour and reception were amazing. The courtyard was such a nice area for the cocktail hour and the string lights added to the ambiance. We didn’t do much decorating for the reception but it was not needed. The lights on the walls and the LED screens were amazing to have and it really elevated the space. The team at armature was great to work with and they are very responsive. -

Armature Works was the perfect venue for our wedding. We used the Social Hall for our ceremony, the Western Walkway for our cocktail hour, and the Theatre for our reception — and each space was beautifully suited to our vision and flowed seamlessly throughout the day.
Every area, from the event spaces to the bridal suite and restrooms, was pristine, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff was phenomenal and incredibly attentive, and leading up to the wedding our event coordinators made the entire process so easy, organized, and genuinely enjoyable.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would choose Armature Works and their event spaces over and over again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stunning venue with an exceptional team.

Armature Works will forever hold a special place in our hearts. My husband and I had our first date there, got engaged there, and five years later, we said “I do” in their stunning venue space. It was the perfect full-circle moment, and I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else.
From our very first meeting with Madison, we knew we were in amazing hands. She was absolutely unbelievable—kind, organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day as special as it could be. Every step of the process felt easy and enjoyable thanks to her and the entire Armature Works team.
Obviously I’m a little biased toward this venue, but I genuinely highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding space that’s both meaningful and functional. The venue itself is beautiful, spacious, and incredibly well-maintained. We never felt cramped, even with all our guests, and the layout flowed perfectly from ceremony to reception.
One thing we especially appreciated: the temperature control. We’d been to a few weddings in the months leading up to ours, and so many of them felt uncomfortably hot—especially once the dancing started. At Armature Works, the climate was perfect all night long. How do I know for sure? My mom didn’t mention it once—and she always mentions if she’s hot. That’s the gold standard!
The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Everything was set up exactly how we imagined, and I never once worried about something going wrong. It’s rare to feel that level of trust and peace on such a big day.
If you’re considering Armature Works as your wedding venue—do it. It was the best decision we made. -

We had an amazing experience working with Rachel at Armature Works!! We had our reception in the Gathering in April 2025 and everything turned out amazing! Rachel was wonderful to work with and helped us make decisions on certain design/ rental elements to make sure that they suited the space. Her expertise and responsiveness was amazing throughout the entire process. She made us feel at ease about everything and we highly recommend an AW wedding! -

Our event at Rooftop 220 was a dream come true! Our coordinator, Madison, was seriously heaven sent. Working with her was the easiest thing I experienced and she really relieved any and all stress that I had as a bride. The space is gorgeous and really comes to life during an event. -

Wedding of my dreams! Everything came out so perfectly for our November wedding reception at the Gathering. The staff and coordinators made everything run smoothly, and all of our guests said the servers were so nice and attentive. We requested an espresso martini tower to do privately before our guests took our seats - and they made it happen. Definitely spent a little more money than I had originally expected - but was all worth it in the end as it was a beautiful day! Rachel Cloke did a great job of continuing to communicate with me and my wedding planner to make it the best day ever. All of our guests haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful it was inside. -

We weren't picky about the look of the venue, but we loved how industrial the venue looked, especially for a fall wedding. The large LED display was amazing and our guests loved that feature. Rachel, the venue coordinator, was always so helpful & super detailed. The dance floor was huge and where we had dinner & dancing were in the same room, which was a huge check mark for my husband and I. Rachel was THE best. She was always very quick with responding back to our emails. -

Cannot recommend Armature Works enough!
This was the first vendor we booked. The second we saw the venue we were in love and knew it was the right choice for us. Being in the wedding industry, I had very particular taste and wanted something unlike the typical ballroom or beach. Armature works is modern, well kept, and offers amazing additions with audio visual and upgraded linens. Our venue coordinator, Rachel, was extremely helpful and responsive with all of my questions. She ensured everything we had discussed was executed flawlessly. Thank you for calming my nerves and taking over, allowing for me to be the bride for once! -

We held our reception in the Gathering Room at Armature and it was absolutely perfect! The exposed brick and chandeliers have so much character. The outdoor courtyard for cocktail hour was so much fun! The staff at armature works were also amazing and great to work with. They were flexible and quick to respond along the way. We are so glad that we chose Armature Works as our wedding venue. The brick of the building combined with the interior decor made for a perfect backdrop. We love that we were able to customize our own vendors but also not have to select every little detail as AW handled all of the tables, chairs, linens, bar, and made the catering choices easy. -

I have had the pleasure to capture two weddings at Armature works on they both were a blast! The staff was very friendly and were constantly accommodating my couple whenever they had a request. For those the love the downtown vibe and desire that for their wedding I highly recommend this venue location! The very cool modern brick aesthetic makes for really cool backdrops for photos and video as well!

If you’re on the fence, hire Armature Works! We worked with Amy and she was absolutely amazing. The venue was flexible with us during COVID and we were still able to have the perfect wedding. Everything looked flawless and the spaces are so beautiful. -

We had an awesome experience working with Armature Works. The venue is absolutely stunning for anyone who likes an industrial look! They do have a list of preferred caterers, but that almost makes the planning process easier because you know it’s good food! I had planned over a year ago to be in one of their indoor event spaces, but because of COVID we ended up moving our wedding to their outdoor location, Rooftop 220, overlooking the river which may have been even better! The guests were raving about the view! We had a seamless transition updating to new wedding plans and I could not be more thankful for their help! We had an incredible wedding here and would highly recommend this venue! We love visiting AW all time for dates nights, too, so it’s great that we get to come back here to relive the memories. -

I was one fo the first 10 brides or so to get married at Armature Works back in early 2018.I didn't want a traditional ballroom or hotel for my reception and just loved the vibes and history behind the event space. I actually booked the venue without seeing the completed space yet (they had barely broken ground) but felt completely comfortable doing so because of their knowledgeable, professional staff. Even then, I knew they would be able to execute the vision I had for my big day and boy was I right. Everything was exactly how I envisioned it and executed flawlessly. To this day, I still get compliments on how gorgeous my wedding event space was. If you are interested in booking this venue, do so soon, as they are extremely popular and for good reason! -

Armature Works is such a beautiful venue and there’s definitely a “cool” factor that you don’t get at a lot of other places. We loved that every part of our wedding could be held onsite, but in different locations to give a change of scenery. We had our ceremony in the Social Hall, cocktail hour in the Courtyard, and reception in the Theatre upstairs. And there’s so many other beautiful spots on site to take advantage of with photos! We worked with Olivia as our Venue Coordinator, and she was fantastic! She was so easy to work with and helped answer every little question that we had pop up through the planning process. During our wedding weekend, she also went out of her way to accommodate some of our requests, such as letting our wedding party see the reception space during our rehearsal, and allowing us to do our first look in the Rooftop 220 space. The other Armature Works staff that were there on the day of our wedding were all so friendly and really made our wedding an enjoyable experience for us and our guests! Olivia was a dream to work with. We booked them as our ceremony and reception venue before construction on the property was even complete, which can be nerve racking, but our team was so amazing they took the nerves out of the process completely! It poured rain on our wedding day, so we weren't able to utilize the courtyard for cocktail hour like we hoped but the social room ended up being a beautiful backup space. Armature Works seriously has it all. The property is amazing as is but it's still growing and we were even able to use one of the amazing restaurants inside as our rehearsal brunch location. I highly recommend hiring AW as your venue! -

I wanted a venue by the water, without sand, and not your traditional ballroom. Armature Works was perfect. We received so many compliments on our venue and the team was a pleasure to work with. Brittany Silva was responsive and always helpful. If I could do it all over again, I would get married at Armature Works a million times! Make sure you book in advance as this place is popular! -

It was risky agreeing to have a March 2018 wedding in May 2017 when the venue was no where near complete. We are so thankful we trusted and believed it would all work out because it truly did! The venue was so unique and the people were so genuine. Thank you Armature Works! We will be forever grateful for you!

Autumn Sent on 10/24/2017We rented the 220 Rooftop Space for our smaller wedding. So we didn’t get canceled, like many of the weddings in their larger venue. Ours went on as planned fortunately and I just wanted to say that Ashely and Olivia were amazing. They were extremely helpful. I changed my mind on things I wanted/didn’t want about 57 times in the months leading up to the wedding and they worked with me on all of it. They let me tour the venue twice beforehand so I could get decoration ideas. They always replied to my questions, they were extremely helpful and patient during my rehearsal. And someone in the building (probably Olivia) even went above and beyond and helped my fiancé set up the entire venue before the wedding since he was running a bit late. We weren’t planning on their help with that so my fiancé said it was a lifesaver that they jumped in and helped. Thank you AW!!! It was BEAUTIFUL!

Monica Sent on 03/04/2013When my husband and I were looking for our venue we were blown away by how expensive everything was. We had a small wedding (total of 80) and everything was either too small or too large. We then searched the internet and found by chance 220 West Seventh.
This rooftop is the perfect place for an intimate wedding. Our guests keep telling us how beautiful it was, with the river view on one side and Downtown Tampa on the other it was the perfect backdrop to our perfect day. We could not have asked for a more perfect match to our wedding vision. Since we found them very early in our wedding planning we did work with 3 different event coordinators, but at the end we worked more closely with Natalie who was very professional, prompt with responses to our concerns and above all making sure everything worked during our event. I could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our wedding. -

We had my daughter’s wedding at The Gathering. I was worried it would be too large, but it was perfect. We portioned 1/3 of the room for the cocktail space with a very large and very expensive curtain, ha ha! But it was beautiful. The other 2/3 was used for the reception. I loved that we could choose any color linen we wanted with no extra charge. The tables were very large and the chairs with it were beautiful. This was included in the venue price. For $250 we had a huge screen that sported their names and during the reception was used for all kinds of fun digital effects. The lighting was amazing. We were very happy that we chose this centrally located space. The pictures outside the venue were gorgeous. Sarah Elwood was very helpful and responsive. Brittney Silva was wonderful and very attentive. She has a very artful eye and was able to arrange the tables perfectly for our smaller gathering. She was very detailed before the event and made sure everything was lined-up perfectly and worked with the caterer easily. This is a great venue for a band. -

Overall the experience was amazing! The venue was perfect and beautiful. We did go through several coordinators and some miscommunication. They gave us 4 hrs to set up for our event and then only gave our vendors an hour to tear down as well as didn’t have any space to put all the boxes and things required to bring items and remove them.
Rachel, the coordinator for armature works was amazing! She was super responsive and always helpful. Her supervisor was awful. She tried to shut our event down an hour before our end time. Which we paid for. Our personal day or coordinator had to deal with her and she describes the experience as awful. At the end of it all the supervisor tried to charge us for the time it took to tear down. -

We contracted with Armature Works for our post-destination wedding local celebration. They had a clause for “Required Rescheduling” that included epidemics, so we felt secure in paying half the cost of the rental and drinks back in Fall. As COVID numbers and deaths grew substantially, we decided it would not be responsible to have a gathering. We have over 90 days’ notice that we would like to reschedule, and they said that they could keep our entire deposit, but they would be gracious enough to only keep half the deposit. They had very little compassion nor understanding. We cancelled our event because we did not wish to work with them further. It was extremely disappointing in the current atmosphere. -

This is the second time in 3 years that we've held an event at Rooftop 220. While the facility itself is wonderful, our experience from the point of contract has been disappointing to the extent that not only will we not return, but we will discourage the many businesses we associate with, an the many nonprofits we work with to find an alternative. What's visibly lacking from the Event team is anything resembling a positive service ethos. And clearly the organization has internal culture issues, as evidenced by the many employees we encountered/overheard. A real shame for the quality of a facility to be overshadowed by such a lack of behind-the scenes commitment to service delivery quality.
