Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot primarily digital, but I originally started with film 15 years ago. I can shoot film if specifically requested by the customer.
How many photographers do you work with?
I have 2 other photographers in my team that depending on the package, they come to the wedding or do their own.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes. I have 2 more that would go for me, even if only one photographer was scheduled.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I always have 2-3 cameras with 3-5 lenses, flashes, extra batteries and in my trunk always have the backdrops and lights/umbrellas, just in case.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Always!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I charge per package or special, but can also do it by the hour.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. Depending on the original package chosen, the hourly rate can go from $75 to $150.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I only take strictly necessary breaks. I don't like missing any photo opportunities.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Within 4-8 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Website &/or thumbnails
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I keep the copyright, but give a release to print photos from the CD for personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
All of my packages include a High-Resolution CD or DVD
Will images be available for viewing online?
I offer free online vieweing with most of my packages.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Any: flushmount books, leather, classic, photobooks, small, large, etc.
When will the client get the final album?
Depending on the amount of photographs and type of album, it takes between 2-8 weeks.
