Hello!!! Thanks for checking out my storefront here on Wedding Wire. My name is John Gentry and I am a professional photographer based in Nashville, TN. I specialize in Wedding and Event photography. I have a fun versatile style and like to create images of you by getting to know your personality type. Not everyone likes the same types of images and so I work really hard to be creative and unique for the one and only you. :-) I know that's pretty cheesy but the true way I feel and work behind the camera. To make it sound nice and fancy "I enjoy creating true essence portraiture through interaction and created moments of activity which is incorporated by personal involvement of my subjects." Translation = We have a BLAST making cool images of you!  I truly enjoy working with different types of people from all walks of life. 

I am a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) in my industry. I received this honor from PPA which is the standard for most great images and education in the US. I am currently working on my Masters in Photography which I hope to complete in the next year or 2. 

I have been working as a full time professional for 10 years. It has been a long journey initially being educated through the school of hard knocks and then getting several breaks and acknowledgments from other great professionals. I was encouraged to move from portraiture into weddings and the commercial industry. I strive to continually educate myself through reading, practice, seminars, workshops, forums, and conventions several times a year. 

Last and not least is my wife, Lori. One of the main reasons for the success and organization of our business. Not to mention the main person and reason why I strive to do anything in this world. We have been married for 8 years this year and our wedding was a good beginning to understand how complicated a wedding day can be. We made it and laugh about it now but through some of our craziness and drama of our day we better able to bring about pure joy and fun into your day. We are eliminators for stress, the propagators of fun and the problem solvers your parents wished they had around on their wedding day. :-) Allow us to take care of you and help you have the best day of your life, truly be and feel like, the best day of your life.
