Contemporary, Photojournalism, Portraiture

Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Matted Prints, Prints, Proof CD of All Images

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Fine Art enhancements of select images that include layering techniques to create one-of-a-kind artistic images are always offered to my clients!

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have experience, but most importantly great SUCCESS while photographing in all lighting: ambient, flash, strobe or candlelight!

Is your media preference film or digital?
I love film and will shoot with it while using my artistic cameras (Holgas, Polaroids) but I currently shoot predominantly with digital pro Canon cameras and lenses.

How many photographers do you work with?
I am primary photographer at all weddings and can offer a second or third photographer if requested.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely! It is my business, reputation and art, after all!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
NEVER. I give one couple/my clients my full and undivided personalized attention and talents on their wedding day. As a result, my service are reserved one to two years in advance.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes; I have a "pool" of many competent professional photographers that I can rely upon for back-up to shoot for or with me.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
One full set of Canon Professional cameras, fast Canon professional lenses and professional Cannon flashes, and another two full sets of Canon Professional cameras, lenses and flashes...just in case! :-)

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely! ...as mentioned above.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
My services can be customized and I offer both inclusive full-day services or hourly services. Please fill out my contact form at my website: www.joannebartone.com on the "contact" page to receive detailed information on all my services.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. "Overtime" is payable at the time of service at the investment of $400/hour which covers my time/talent/post-processing/retouching and enhancing/uploading to your gallery.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
One, maybe, and that is typically after dinner.

Do you charge for travel?
It is included in the service investment.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
A "thank you" slide show is available to you approximately five days following your wedding so you may share it with family/friends. After that, all final photos receive processing by my professional lab and a select few receive enhancing and retouching by myself. This process typically can take from two to six weeks to have all images up in your on-line gallery following your event.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
You will first be able to view the images I've created for you in your private, password protected on-line gallery at my professional lab, Pictage ( www.pictage.com ). After you select your top images for your Fine Art Proof Prints, I will order them and they will arrive to you within a week of your final selection.

How long can the client keep the proofs?
You receive actual Fine Art Proof Prints that are yours to keep forever! They are your memories, after all, and I think you should have and be able to HOLD them - that is why you get prints from me and not thumbnails or contact sheets.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Always. The photos are mine to use and promote myself indefinitely and I always retain the copyright to them; it is the law. However, you do have the option to purchase the right to reproduce the image files as photographs in the services I offer.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes I do - it is a photographer's only means to promote their work, however if a client is not comfortable with this, we can discuss it and come to an agreement that will work for both of us. Flexibility with you is "key" to me.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
They are included with some of the services I offer, or the rights to print image files can be purchased individually or in total. There's that "flexibility" thing again...!

Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, at my professional lab, Pictage ( www.pictage.com )!

What kind of albums do you offer?
Top of the line, library bound actual Books, not albums hand made by some of the top manufactures in the industry - my clients receive only the best products, because that is what I would want for myself. The contemporary Wedding Story Books of today offer much more flexibility in design, style and endurance that albums of the past cannot compare to. Did I say "flexibility" again?!! Oh, my!

When will the client get the final album?
Approximately six to eight weeks after your final approval of the Wedding Story Design I custom create for you.
