Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Any photo you get can be "spiced up" by being made into black and white, sepia, soft touched, and in most cases, selectively colored.
Is your media preference film or digital?
All my work is done via the digital medium.
How many photographers do you work with?
One other photographer is present with me at all times during photographing.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, of course!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I devote my full attention to one wedding at a time. From the rehearsal to the last important part of the reception, I'm all yours!
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Camera and lens and flash units as well as extra digital media cards, batteries. I also bring a laptop and lighting equipment that are mostly for "just in case" situations.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I have an extra camera (sometimes two) and two other lens, as well as other digital cards and batteries.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Your package price is all you have to worry about, I'll be there as long as you need me.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Other than during the wedding meal, we don't take much of a break beyond the in between moments that generally happen throughout a wedding. We are ready to photograph at a moments notice.
Do you charge for travel?
Only in certain circumstances. If you are located within a 30 mile radius of the Grand Rapids area, you definitely don't have to worry about that.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Usually within a week or two of the wedding, but usually sooner.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
You will receive an email that links you to the website where all your images are available for viewing. You will also receive a review CD disc with all the images (with watermark) and also a DVD of some of the photos set to music.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The disc is yours to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Copyright and full-sized images on disc can be purchased with any package.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Digital files, yes.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Traditional style with one photo per page or the contemporary album with specially designed pages for a bit more than the traditional album.
When will the client get the final album?
If your package includes and album, yes!
