Exlusive WEDDINGS ONLY entertainment. One company, ONE DJ, one commitment: "Excellence in Elegance" is my motto. As an accomplished professional voiceover artist, PA announcer, and veteran Wedding Entertainment Director, I have mastered the artistry of presenting an event to reflect the discerning tastes of brides who envision an elegant reception conducted by a class act DJ / Emcee. Elegant and sophisticated but not stiff or stuffy, fun and entertaining but not wild or wacky. There are NO zany antics, NO inflatable props, NO plastic trinkets, NO group line dances, or goofy shenanigans to make a circus atmosphere out of your special once-in-a-lifetime reception. I won't force upon you MY vision of the perfect wedding reception - YOUR unique vision is my focus.

Thank you for your interest in Frederick Hart Entertainment and congratulations on your engagement. Now comes the daunting task of assembling a memorable wedding ceremony and reception. Using my professional experience, I will assist you in making the music and bridal party announcement portion of the reception the least worrisome aspect of your entire planning challenge. I anticipate bringing my 20 years of unique and elegant wedding expertise to your reception. Since 1994, the wedding reception has been the ONLY type of event that I DJ & emcee and since 2001, my primary source of income. To date I have personally conducted over 1,300 wedding receptions.

You'll understand my philosophy more clearly after you peruse my website. I give my clients as much (or as little) control over every aspect of my service. Not just music. I have had clients in the past who picked EVERY song. One last summer even specified the order that they were to be played. At the opposite end of the spectrum, there are those clients who pick nothing and trust their DJ's acumen. I work equally well with either extreme. Most clients pick a few of their favorites, select some special dedications, and proscribe all of the cheesy line dances and audience participation dances. I won't become an omnipresent character who takes over the spotlight and makes myself the star of the show...no guest will be coming to your reception to see the DJ. I can graciously and gently direct and maintain the spotlight on the bride and groom without ever stealing it...or even sharing it.

If a roomful of wedding guests are sitting and the dance floor is empty, it isn't because the DJ isn't being 'colorful' or animated enough. It's also not because he isn't 'working the crowd' on the mic or passing out plastic trickets, inflatable instruments, or glowing necklaces. It isn't because he's not playing the right audience participation line dances or silly games. People dancing is a direct function of MUSIC. Infectious songs programmed in clever dance sets and inventively mixed in such a way that they create enthusiasm are what establish a celebratory atmosphere pack the dance floor.

Bad DJs try to make people dance. Great DJs know how to make people WANT to dance.

I DJed my first wedding in 1989, became a 'weddings only' DJ in 1994, made it my only means of income in 2001 and to date have done over 1,300 wedding receptions. That experience and my ability to customize a completely unique affair are what set me quantum leaps ahead of the competition. It is my passion, profession, and livelihood not a weekend hobby.

Hiring DJ Fred was one of our single best wedding decisions. We were on a budget, so the price was a huge splurge, but we are so glad we decided to invest in a talented DJ. Unlike flowers or decorations, the DJ can make or break a wedding, and DJ Fred made our evening incredible from start to finish.

Where to begin? Our ceremony music was perfect. The introductions of family/bridal party and the toasts were flawlessly executed. Although Fred had a ton of long foreign names to pronounce, he didn’t make a single mistake. He guided us and our guests through the event, making everyone feel welcome and setting the mood for an amazing night. As we moved from room to room for introductions, dinner, dancing, etc, Fred had equipment ready in each one, which was key to the smooth flow of the evening.

We come from two different cultures and religions, resulting in a unique mix of guests at the wedding. Fred was not fazed by this challenge, moving seamlessly from greeting my parents and their friends in Russian to presiding over the hora. Our guests did have one thing in common: they were not big dancers. But somehow, Fred knew just what to play to get everyone on the dance floor.

Our favorite moments from the wedding were all facilitated by DJ Fred: walking down the aisle to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, hoisted up in the air during the hora, dancing with our friends and family…we could go on for a while. We truly could not be happier with Fred’s performance.
