We cant say enough great stuff about DJ Frederick Hart! From our very first conversation, it was clear that he was the right DJ for us. He asked thoughtful questions about our plan for the event and he paid close attention to the answers. Before the wedding, Fred was very accessible and a pleasure to work with. He talked us through the process and made sure that our lights and sound would be terrific. He even found us another vendor for a different event, and we were really happy with the price and quality of that vendor, too. Fred made a plan for the sound for the ceremony which was perfect--guests could hear every single word. We got multiple comments on the sound quality, and he did it all really well. Fred understood that what mattered most to us was that our guests felt loved and welcomed, and he made sure that the music kept the energy up without drowning out all the other ways people were connecting. One of our favorite compliments was from a guest who said it was impossible to leave the dance floor because our playlist and DJ were so great. We are so glad to have worked with Fred! You will have a wonderful experience with him, too. -

From the very beginning, he brought energy, professionalism, and a clear passion for what he does — and it all translated perfectly into our wedding day. He kept the dance floor packed all night, read the room flawlessly, and made the entire reception feel alive in the best way.
Fred isn't just a DJ — he's a full-on experience. He knows how to bring the fun, engage with the crowd, and keep things moving without ever feeling over-the-top or forced. He took the time to understand our vibe, tailored the music to match it, and then absolutely delivered. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding dance floor they’ve ever been on.

DJ Fred provided audio and microphones for our ceremony, music for the cocktail hour, and MC services and music for our reception at the Franklin Institute. Preparing for the big day with Fred was a pleasure, as he was extremely communicative and offered a lot of good advice on not just the DJ-related parts of wedding planning, but anything else about the planning process we asked him about.
In getting our music set for each section of the wedding Fred let us have as much control as we wanted, so we put together a playlist of enough music to fill the time, and he mixed everything together for seamless playing and transitions. Fred has tons of experience playing weddings and puts that to good use heading off any mixups in advance by practicing names, a bulleted list of reception details to fill out, and a thorough prep call during the week leading up to your wedding.
The music at the reception was a highlight of our night, and Fred expertly combined cultural music, pop punk, and wedding classics to keep our dance floor full all night, just like we'd hoped! -

DJ Fred was spectacular and all of our guests loved him! He is a complete professional and we would recommend him to any couple who values having a reliable, helpful, intuitive, and passionate DJ/emcee for their big day!
Communication was a breeze with Fred - in fact, it would be rare for him to not have the resources or the information we needed to help with planning our playlists and programs. Fred is a seasoned pro and understands what it takes to have a great event, however he also understands the importance to be grounded in the couple's vision and accepts all suggestions/revisions with grace.
Fred also anticipated our needs exceptionally well. When we had only hired him for mic setup for our Friday events, thinking our personal speaker would be enough, but he went ahead and provided complimentary professional speakers which made the events even more special.
With that said, DJ Fred's services provided so much value to our wedding while meeting our budgetary needs. His professionalism and engaging attitude is truly unmatched and we couldn't be more lucky to have had him DJ our wedding! -

We cannot recommend Fred enough! From the very beginning, he was professional, understanding, and so easy to work with. Even when we had last-minute changes, he handled everything with patience and care.
What stood out most was how thoughtful he was in honoring our backgrounds—I am Egyptian and my husband is Korean, and many of our guests don’t speak English as their first language. Fred went out of his way to learn a few phrases in Arabic and Korean, which meant so much to our families. He also curated and mixed Arabic, Nubian, Korean, and English music seamlessly, creating the perfect atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
Fred arrived super early to set up, made sure the ceremony and reception ran smoothly, and kept the dance floor packed all night long. His presence and personality truly added to the joy of the day.

Frederick Hart was the DJ of our dreams. We booked him about 10 months before our wedding, having selected him because he places such strong emphasis on class, elegance and commitment to stellar service. Our wedding was wildly gorgeous, but Fred’s professionalism, perceptiveness and graciousness took our event to the next level. His musical curation was seamless, his verbal guidance and emcee style helped maintain a high, yet very chic, energy from start to finish. Leading up to the event he was exceptionally attentive and proactive in communicating with me; he reached out frequently in the 2 months leading up to our date to help guide me through the process. Fred was a joy and an asset to work with in every way; his most base standard is above and beyond. He makes you feel as his client that you are constantly his #1 priority. Having great music was my 2nd highest priority from the onset of wedding planning and my 1st was a DJ with an elegant approach so searching for someone to give this responsibility was very nerve racking. Nothing but accommodating
Fred is nothing less than someone who wants to see your wedding vision and execute it. My (now) wife and I didn't realize how much of an orchestrator that a DJ has to be in making sure things are completed in a timely manner. Fred was very conscious of time and what we had going on. He was nothing but accommodating in a last-minute request to have a bridal polka happen - to those getting married soon, you will all know any last minute details/additions can be stressful as you want to make sure no moment goes with an accident or missed. I also want to add that my wife and I were looking for a bilingual (English + Spanish) DJ and although the Spanish needed a bit of work, Fred absolutely delivered to what we wanted. Fred, thank you for making the reception a good one!! -

A lot of other DJs seem to make the events more about them and their persona than about the couple. But not DJ Frederick. He is here to make it your perfect wedding. He's up for as much or as little direction as you like. For example we had a whole playlist for the cocktail hour and he was happy to play that and then for dancing and dinner we gave him a few recos and he filled in the rest perfectly. He went above and beyond ensuring he arrived very early and we could practice a few things that were a bit tricky. I cannot recommend him enough!!! -

My husband and I were so pleased with working with Silver Sound and DJ Fred Hart for our wedding! Fred was a professional from the beginning, truly living up to his motto of "Excellence in Elegance." He is very communicative and clear on dates, which is helpful for couples managing multiple vendors. Silver Sound also has a client portal where you can enter all information on your bridal party, name pronunciations, requested songs, do not play songs, etc. This was great to have so that we could do on our own time, and save the time on our call with Fried to get to know each other. Fred was so kind and thoughtful asking us about memories with our siblings/parents so that he could seamlessly weave them into his introductions. Our MOH and BM were really touched by the intros they received going up to the mic. As mentioned above, Fred is a total professional and gave great suggestions on the flow of our reception, and also kept the vibes high through the night. People were on the dance floor from start to finish! We are thankful to have met Fred and his trusty assistant Sean, and would recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy wedding vendor. -

Fred was a privilege to work with from start to finish.. what you get the first time you connect is truly the service he offers the whole way through. He's kind, smart, and a master at getting everyone onto the dancefloor and not wanting to leave. He listened to all of our requests, added his own unique touch to everything, and made the process feel like we were working with a friend, not a busy wedding vendor (which he definitely is)! Fred was very easy to work with and happy to give recommendations when we need it. The process was very easy and he was very good with adjusting on the fly. He put together a great mix and did a great job catering to the vibe of the guests. He made us feel very much at ease during our two meetings prior to the wedding. He even did his best to pronounce our parents' names with proper Chinese pronunciation, which we really appreciated. -

I've been a professional wedding photographer for 20 years. I kind of alarmed my then-fiancé when I up and hired Fred to MC our November 2021 wedding. There was absolutely no question in my mind that we needed Fred to run the schedule of events for our day. Our wedding was so important to us for obvious reasons, but knowing that we only had one shot at this, especially during a pandemic, having someone like Fred in our corner to ensure that everything went smoothly was a relief. Fred was one of the first professionals I became friends with when I started photographing weddings in 2001. It was clear that not only was he good at his job, but he was friendly and inclusive with other professionals. This was also important since the MC or DJ has to work with the other professionals (caterer, photographer, venue, planner) in order for the event to be flawless. I explained to my partner that having an MC isn't only about playing music and mixing songs. We needed someone who could be trusted initiating all of the little events we planned for the reception in conjunction with our other professionals. The MC ties everything together.
When it came down to our day unfolding, we were anxiety free. We understood that we chose the exact people who would carry out our plans and make sure our wedding was exactly how we envisioned it. I had an advantage when picking our professionals. I already knew Fred was the absolute best. I hope that other couples read this and trust that my professional experience informed my personal preferences. Fred was not only the right choice for us, but he's literally the best choice for anyone and worth every penny we spent on his expertise. -

Frederick Hart is Flexible and Professional
Frederick was excellent to work with! He was very accommodating with my then-fiancee's and my schedule when planning everything, and he was very flexible with our wishlist of songs! It was very pleasant that he played a lot of our favorites but still read the dancefloor, which is what we asked him to do.
It was also especially nice that Frederick was familiar with Latin music! Even amongst our non-Spanish speaking guests, the Latin music was a hit! We did put a fair amount of Latin music on our wishlist, but Frederick played some others that we didn't request but that were perfect for the moment!
Overall, we were highly satisfied with Frederick's services! He was very professional, he takes his job seriously, is very considerate of the couples' wants and needs, and demonstrated he really is at the service of the couple. He kept the party going and didn't allow the dancing to stop beyond the cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. We are very happy with his work! -

Frederick Hart went above and beyond what we could have imagined. We had some strange requests like playing a 15 minute song in the middle of the reception and he made it happen. He had everyone on their feet the entire night and truly made the wedding memorable! In addition to providing incredible music and making the event flow, he also took some great videos and photos. We certainly didn't expect that but are so grateful that he did that. We can't recommend Frederick enough and highly recommend that you book him for your wedding!! -

Frederick became our DJ about 2 months before our wedding because our previous scheduled DJ had to cancel on us. From the minute Frederick became involved, he WAS INVOLVED. he immediately reached out to myself and my husband to plan/coordinate/offer help/suggestions. He provided himself as a resource for any questions or concerns if we needed it, was willing to offer suggestions. he reached out multiple times throughout just to make sure that we were comfortable, show us a previous wedding he had done at our wedding venue, and make sure we knew he was available as a resource for us regarding basically anything. He made sure to go over the timeline with us.
10/10 for coming in clutch at the last minute! -

I inquired about Frederick online one day randomly and within 5 minutes we were on the phone chatting. From the moment I heard his voice, I knew he was the one for us! We talked for over an hour that day, sharing stories and enjoying laughs; I felt like he understood our vibe from the jump. After that initial meeting, we exchanged COUNTLESS emails and HOURS of phone calls - I legit bombarded him with questions, ideas, fears, horror stories, the list was endless. He never once became irritated or short with me, instead, he took even more time to get to know me, get to know the groom, and understand ALL the key people involved in the wedding. One could argue that I'm a control-freak, and Frederick went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, make me feel confident, and make me even more excited for the big day. We didn't want to go the standard or traditional route with most of ceremony or the reception, and Frederick completely brought our vision to life, and exceeded our expectations at every stop! He sent us samples and rundowns, he ran through timelines on countless occasions, he showed up 6 hours early on the day-of - all to make sure our special day was as magical as possible. From the minute the ceremony began, to the last possible second on the dance floor, our guests were wildly entertained! Frederick learned every single detail about our relationships with our closest friends and family, so that he could set the mood with beautiful stories and funny quips prior to every special moment. Hearts were so full before the 2 MOH's ever reached the mic because of the introduction Frederick made; the room was in stitches before the Best Man ever reached the mic because of the introduction Frederick made; and there wasn't a dry eye in the house prior to, or during, my first dance with my dad because of the introduction Frederick made. I have never witnessed a wedding where a DJ made such an incredible impact to the party off of the dance floor -

Fred is AMAZING!!! He was the DJ at our wedding on June 22, 2018 and he did NOT disappoint!! With all his skills and expertise he knew exactly what equipment was needed for our space, and was able to help us plan out the entire reception!! He offered suggestions on timeline based on his direct experience in the wedding business- and was also extremely open to our ideas as well. Since we had our ceremony at the venue, he played the music before and during the ceremony. I have been getting SO many compliments on the ceremony music (we had an instrumental playlist as the guests arrived) that Fred put together himself. I then wanted to use an instrumental song for my bridesmaids and my walk down the aisle, and Fred was able to digitally edit the music to make it the correct length, loop certain parts to allow for time before my bridal entrance. He seriously went above and beyond to make my dreams come true!! And he is SO personable, he helped the whole bridal party (and us) feel at ease during the wedding. He has a whole science behind playing music to get people on the dance floor (and keeping them there) and he had the dance floor PACKED!! I would hands-down go with DJ Fred for your wedding- you get the personalized touch and all his years of experience to create a timeline for the reception to meet your dreams and also logistically work for guests. Shira Sent on 01/03/2018Picking Fred Hart as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions that my husband and I made during our entire planning process. When we signed up with Fred, we didn’t truly understand how much of an impact our decision would make on the outcome of our big day, but after our first “Skype meeting” we both knew that Fred was going to make our wedding unforgettable. Fred spent the time to get to know our relationship, our interests, our music preferences, and our overall vision. He designed a seamless flow for the evening and worked with us on planning all each of the big moments. I always felt like the only bride he was working with as his email and phone response time was prompt and personal.
Looking back on our experience, we got FAR more than a DJ, we got a conductor for our evening who kept the excitement and energy of our wedding day going until the last song. I ended up providing Fred with a rather long list of music requests and through his music genius he played all the right music at the perfect time throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. As for the party, the dance floor was packed throughout the evening. It was truly the best night of our lives and made possible by the talent and hard work of Fred.
We are so grateful to Fred for all of his hard work, dedication, and attention to detail that truly made our wedding the best night of our lives. -

Rebecca Sent on 10/12/2017Frederick by far surpassed all of our expectations! From the very first phone conversation, we were instantly comfortable and knew that we had made the right choice. His attention to detail, professionalism, enthusiasm and flexibility made all the difference in making our day as special and as memorable as it could be. We're pretty unconventional people and Fred never batted an eyelash when it came to our unusual requests…just to give you an idea: the bride wore black, the bride and groom wore matching boots, the bridal party walked into the Jurassic Park theme song, the bride was ushered in by her parents to The Kinks "All Day and All of the Night" and we walked out to The Darkness "I Believe In a Thing Called Love". Everything was timed perfectly and the equipment was top notch, because everyone could actually hear what was going on! Mind you, this is no easy task to do at an outside venue in Fairmount Park. He was incredibly responsive and helpful in orchestrating a plan for the day and also had very insightful suggestions to make sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. The cocktail hour and reception were equally as great as the ceremony. Fred was incredibly attentive, and never let anything slip past him…we didn't have a lot of the normal wedding reception things planned and wanted to let everything happen organically - and they totally did - thanks to Fred. Anything impromptu was only allowed to happen with our approval, and we're very grateful for that-it gave us peace of mind to know that we could rely on someone to run the show without any unwanted surprises. When all was said and done, we couldn't have been happier with Fred's service. He truly made our day one of the most memorable times that we were able to share with our friends and family - and for that Fred, we are eternally grateful. Whether you're looking for something traditional or unconventional, I guarantee you that Fred will make it happen.

He was accomodating and helpful throughout our special day, even going the extra mile at the last minute to include an additional muscian who required a microphone. DJ Fred had a keen awareness of the room's acoustics and set the mood perfectly with our selection of music. I would reccomend his services.
