Fete Perfection does an outstanding job in coordinating weddings. My first experience with their work was when I played for a wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at the Semple Mansion. Throughout the wedding planning process Fete Perfection responded promptly to my questions. On the day of the wedding, Fete Perfection was in total control of the many details and everything flowed smoothly and beautifully! I have performed at weddings where the bride and groom are bombarded with questions from their wedding vendors with last minute questions or changes. With Fete Perfection in charge, be assured that they will coordinate everything to create a spectacular wedding - A wedding that YOU will enjoy!

Additional Questions and Answers

If I want to have a destination wedding, do you travel to the location and stay until my wedding is over?

Absolutely, we are by your side thoughout the planning process from site inspections to chosing the most fabulous venue - to traveling to your destination at least four days before the first event begins.  We arrange final meetings with key vendors and reconfirm details as well as oversee rehearsals, set-ups and every last detail of your wedding day.

Are there extra expenses involved in destination weddings?

The average destination wedding costs 25% less than a traditional  local wedding.  A good portion of a destination wedding budget is airfare and accommodations however even with that added expense, overall the final budget can still be substantially less.

Do you have a blog?

Yes, check out wackyweddingplanner for useful tips for planning your wedding, the latest cutting-edge resources and vendors or some fun articles about the trials and tribulations of wedding planning.  I also have another blog I Do Vow To which features wedding planning dedicated to global responsibility.  http://weddingplanner-idovowto.blogspot.com/

Have you received special recognition for the weddings you have coordinated?

We have been recognized by Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine as a Platinum Resource.  In addition, one of our weddings from 2007 is being published in a fabulous new wedding planning book due at the end of this year.  This wedding was chosen from hundreds of submissions around the country.

Tips and Advice
1.  Establish a realistic budget early on.  Determine who is paying or contributing to your wedding and meet to discuss this matter openly and honestly.  Once the budget has been established, stick to it.  It’s all too easy to let emotions dictate purchases.  Exceeding your budget will add stress and anxiety to your planning and who wants to go into a marriage deep in debt?

2.  Make all payments on one dedicated credit card and pay it off each month.  This will provide protection through the credit card company should problems arise.  A credit card can also offer cash back rewards or frequent flyer miles so why not take advantage of the opportunity to add these benefits on top of your wedding?  Lastly the credit card will be one additional accounting of your wedding expenses.

3.  By hiring a wedding consultant early in the planning process you will have the benefit of their expertise, their knowledge of five star wedding resources and professionals as well as their objectivity to oversee your budget.  An experienced consultant can negotiate discounts or obtain complimentary upgrades for couples  who normally would not receive these on their own.

4.  If you enjoy the prospect of planning your entire wedding without the help of a professional wedding consultant, at least consider hiring one for your wedding day.  This person will be the "Go To" person for all the vendors, members of the wedding party, family and friends who will have dozens of questions or concerns.  Who wants to work on their wedding day?  Let the wedding consultant oversee the ceremony and reception set-up, place favors, put out place cards,  set centerpieces and tend to the final details that you have worked so hard to plan.  You should be a guest at your own wedding and not be overwhelmed with final arrangements.  A Day of Coordinator is well worth the investment and peace of mind for you and your family.
