We offer unlimited B&W, color, free retouching, digital art, sepia toning and B&W fine art printing
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I prefer mixed natural light and rarely use direct flash. We use a variety of techniques to achieve a natural look in all of our images.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We are 100% digital. Our files are all color corrected and retouched for perfect image quality. This high standard is a unique part of our work.
How many photographers do you work with?
I always have 2 photographers on a job, occasionally 3.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely. I have never missed a wedding in 10 years of business.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only do one wedding in a weekend . The day is defined entirely by your plans.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes. Though I have never used a replacement photographer, my friends are among the finest photographers in DC and we are always willing to assist each other.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Canon 1DS Mark II, Nikon 2DX, Fuji S5. I use different cameras for different effects.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We always bring backup equipment in both lighting and cameras. I bring a second photographer also for safety. This is critically important on a wedding.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have variety of photography packages ranging from $3550 upward as well as al a carte pricing.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
I will generally stay as long as you need me. I do not charge for overtime up to 1/2 hour. Beyond this we charge an hourly rate based on your package.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We only break when you are not available to photograph. Usually this is just before the ceremony and just before the reception entrance.
Do you charge for travel?
45 minutes each way is always included for free.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Generally within 1-2 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We always put the images up on the internet and we can include a proof magazine in packages.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
They are yours to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I only ask that you not resell your photos to a magazine or a competitor.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
No. I only ask the right to use the photos for portfolio. If you need for your image not to appear anywhere we will honor this and add it to the terms of your contract. We do this because we sometimes serve political and diplomatic clients who require privacy.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes. Negatives may be added to your package before or after the wedding.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. We place all of the images from your wedding online.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer the finest formal matted and coffee table books in the industry.
When will the client get the final album?
6 - 8 weeks after you have approved the design.
