History
Doylestown Country Club was formed in 1916, when its founders, Dr. Frank B. Swartzlander, Dr. Joseph Swartzlander, Dr. Felix X. Murphy, J. Carroll Molloy, Sr. and William R. Mercer, brother of Dr. Henry Chapman Mercer, rented the estate for its natural beauty. The estate was officially purchased in the year 1945 and has since only improved and expanded to include more golfing holes, a golf shop, a swimming pool and pool house, and remodeled amenities. The Mercer Tile is employed in this country club’s official logo as an emblem of the Mercer legacy and the founding of the estate.

Top Notch Service

I had my wedding here at Doylestown Country Club 10/10/25.

Devin, the venue manager , made my wedding day spectacular!
Hats off to you!

He was easy to work with and very accommodating.

He’s a great communicator and understood all my needs and details.

My wedding day here was well organized and stress free!

Highly recommend

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with the Doylestown Country Club. Devin worked with us every step of the way, he was so helpful and responsive to all my questions and requests throughout the whole process and made sure no detail was overlooked. We had an amazing time and so did all of our guests. Highly recommend.

Customizable, personalized, friendly, flawless

We shopped around the Philadelphia area and went with the DCC for a few main reasons.

1) Price - The venue is very reasonably priced for what you get and for the value. Top notch food and it tastes good. Our guest gave so many compliments.
2) Event Coordinator - He made the wedding day extremely successful. We had such a great time and appreciate all that he did for us throughout the entire process. The event was flawless and everything went so well. He is very personable and we are so glad he shared our special day with us as well. He went above and beyond leading up to and including the day of the wedding and was were one of the main reasons we went with DCC over any other options. We are so glad we chose him and the DCC.
3) Privacy - The club is very secluded and the event was private. No worrying about any other brides around for miles! The club is private and so many people were nice and congratulated us as we took our pictures around the grounds.
4) Custom - You can have a simple wedding or an over the top one. We were able to customize and work pricing on every element. This was important to meet our budget!
5) Great location for photos. The scenery is so nice and the club is so picturesque no need to stop anywhere else on the way from the church to get photos.
6) Room to get ready - Have ample rooms for the girls and the guys to get ready. Very private and secluded.
7) Parking - Ample amounts even on busy days
8) Vendors - Used a few of their suggested vendors but to be honest shop around. Saved thousands by shopping around here. Not the venues fault but it helps to shop around. Wegmans for flowers and sterling for limo. Both work well with the club!

Words cannot describe how awesome my wedding was at DCC. My parents being members there for over 20 years, I grew up going to the club on a regular basis for dinner, holidays and other events. When it came time to choose a wedding venue, there was only one place. Devin as our wedding coordinator was EXCEPTIONAL. We had a lot of requests for things that had to be approved by the board and went to bat for us every time. Not only that, Devin and the staff at DCC created an outdoor space for us to get married so we didn't have to find another venue for our ceremony since we had our hearts set on an outside ceremony. Planning was smooth, easy and fun! I loved every minute of it. Devin worked with us to achieve the vision we had for our wedding and completely transformed the ballroom. On the day of our wedding, everything went so smoothly and was above and beyond what I had hoped. Devin was there every step of the way. The staff was amazing and seemed to also have fun (we are a very entertaining group). I remember showing up to the club prior to the ceremony and they let me in the ballroom during setup so I could see how everything looked, I cried. It was not only perfect, but better than I had imagined! Now growing up going to the club, I have always LOVED their food. It's phenomenal. We had specialty appetizers made for our theme that strayed from their usual menu, which they did with no issue by the way. We are now known for the wedding that had THE BEST and most food. We chose stations instead of a sit down meal and it was the best decision. There's something for everyone. Let's just say no one was hungry. For the price, it's definitely the best way to go. Overall, it was the best day of my life. Everything was perfect largely due to the staff at DCC especially Devin and Harry. We've been married 8 months now and people are still talking about how awesome our wedding was. I could not have asked for more!

With parents who are members of the Club and who've lived in Doylestown for 30 years, my venue choices were essentially, "Doylestown Country Club...or you can elope." Luckily, our experience at DCC was wonderful from beginning to end. Devin, the event coordinator, was responsive and professional. He guided us through every single choice, from linens, to lights, to appetizers, to the timeline of the evening. My now-husband and I had been a bit unsure of how the ballroom would look, since it's a bit tired-looking and in need of renovation, but with lights, linens, and flowers, it was completely transformed. It was an unbelievably beautiful evening, thanks to Devin and the folks at DCC!

So great to work with! My mother had her wedding reception here years ago so we decided to follow the trend- so glad we did. The whole staff is very professional, honest and accommodating to most anything you could think of. Everything went off without a hitch and more importantly, without too much worrying on my behalf about all of the details. They handled everything and always had a point person throughout the night that I was able to work with for any of my concerns. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reception venue.

I feel as if we discovered a hidden gem by having our wedding at Doylestown Country Club. I was not originally from the area, so I am grateful that my family introduced me to this beautiful place! They were amazing to work with during the process. I never felt like I was getting a cookie cutter wedding with strict rules – I know some other venues do that. Harry Jones and whole Club staff made us feel special throughout it all. After the wedding, our guests RAVED about the food; I don’t think they expected it to be THAT good outside of city hotel/restaurant- but it really was. Best filet & crab cakes anywhere! My husband and I took in every moment of our wedding and we feel so lucky that we were able to work with DCC to craft the feel exactly as we wanted. We could not have been happier. Thank you, DCC!!!

I had my wedding reception here in August and we couldn't have asked for a better time! The club itself is beautiful, especially the ballroom that was renovated earlier this year. In choosing a venue, I wanted a more all-inclusive place, as for me, the less the decisions to make the better! DCC was perfect. They offer various packages, all very affordable, that include liquor, centerpieces, wedding cake. We did upgrade to an uplighting package for the room, but kept the standard linens and chairs. The tables looked amazing. Everyone at DCC was very responsive and open to our ideas, with a huge thank you to Devin! Not only was he organized and professional, he made the whole planning process relatively stress-free. He handled all of the logistics with the various vendors. My wedding party had pictures taken out on the golf course and Devin was there the whole time waiting to drive us around in a golf cart as well as keeping us on schedule so we could still make part of our cocktail hour. We also want to shout out Harry! He was so accommodating and ensured that everything went smoothly on our wedding night. Last, but not least, the food was great! Compared to most weddings that I have been to where the food is not memorable, everyone is still raving about our food. We choose to do stations, which are super economical, although I worried about the wait times and long lines I have seen at other weddings. Not at DCC. They have the whole system down and our guests couldn't stop complimenting the food and how much they loved the variety. We cannot say enough about how much fun everyone had at DCC and it is really hard to find a better bang for your buck. It was the perfect venue for us and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful setting, great food, fun atmosphere, and a really attentive, down-to-earth staff. Thank you DCC!!!
