During the wedding planning process you learn to treasure people that are both great at what they do and that make things easier on a crazy, crazy day. There's a lot of information to convey here, but I'll try to keep my praise organized.

First, the music was tremendous. All of our friends marveled at it throughout and after the event. DJK executed exactly the vibe we wanted, at every phase of the evening. The cocktail hour, the music for which DJK preselected, had all the guests happy and primed for a pretty raucous reception. He somehow had foxtrots and waltzes to keep our parents happy at the very beginning of dancing sets. Having built up the energy gradually through the night, DJK played two hours of a full-tilt dance set at the end - mixed live - that had everyone asking for his business card. One of my friends joked that she was going to get married "so I can have your DJ."

Second, the execution was a product of DJK's meticulous preparation. I was extremely picky about the music, and he spent an incredible amount of time with me, just working through possibilities for various parts of the night. He also provided me guidance when I didn't know exactly what to do. For example, I really needed some help in figuring out how to get my Chinese in-laws and their ballroom-dance friends on the dance floor for a Horah. DJK figured out the exact sequence of music - peppered with a little explanation - for doing that.

Third, DJK's level of professionalism is extraordinary. He emcees the event, and he knows EXACTLY what he's doing. We had a huge wedding party and didn't know how things were supposed to unfold before talking to DJK. I had thirteen groomsmen; we spent 20 minutes on the phone going over how to pronounce everybody's name. Everyone who spent any time with him remarked how pleasant he was, and how easily he accommodated requests and preferences. If we needed to audible to a plan B, then his only responses were suggestions for how to do it. DJK is a pro's pro.
