Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have photographed weddings in the snow, black box rooms and grand cathedrals. There are very few situations that I have not encountered.
 
How many photographers do you work with?
I am always the primary photographer. At times, I may have an apprentice with me, but there is no extra fee for that.
 
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes. In the event of a catastrophic event, I have a network of like-mined professionals that I can call on.
 
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only book one wedding or major event per day.
 
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Professional grade cameras and lenses. On-Location studio lighting if needed.
 
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes
 
Do you charge hourly or full day?
My packages are broken up into typical timing segments for wedding shooting time.
 
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included in the Puget Sound region. (about 60 miles radius of Seattle) For USA/Mexico/Caribbean destinations: My travel fee is flat rated at $750 above the day package rate. I take care of all travel and expenses. This is a GREAT option for couples. You will have a local photographer with you for the whole trip and work with when you get home!
 
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Preview Gallery is next day. Full gallery loads about 2 weeks later. Proof book (which you keep) is at about 3 weeks.
 
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
All presented images are shown in a web based gallery.
 
How long can the client keep the proofs?
You get to keep the printed proof album as part of the package.
 
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes
 
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
No, I assign rights to the couple for unlimited printing privileges.
 
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, you receive a CD with a full set of the presented images for your use.
 
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes--can be open for all friends or family or closed by request with a password lock.
 
What kind of albums do you offer?
Due to the wide variety of tastes, albums are designed on a custom basis with the couple. My albums are hard cover with many color choices of linen or leather bound. The pages are four color printed glossy 'magazine' style.
