I am wedding photojournalist. I approach your wedding like the many news assignments that I use to photograph in a previous life. My goal is when a complete stranger looks at your wedding photographs that they feel like they were a guest. The reason behind this is that if this person, after looking at your wedding photographs, feels like they were there with you then I know the photographs will be a lasting statement of your day.

I can talk about all the famous people I have photographed while working in the news business. I can talk about all the different publications I have been published in. I can talk about my gear and technical knowledge, but lets face it, non of that matters. All that matters is that you have great photography on the single day that will absolutely change your life, and define who you are. I hope that I am that person for you.

I highly recommend Bold Imagery by Jason Connel! As a wedding/event planner it is very important to be able to communicate with the photographer that you are working an event with. Jason was so professional,friendly and easy to communicate with. The pictures were awesome! His attention to detail is what won me over! If you are looking for a photographer that has a eye for details Bold Imagery is the way to go!

It is hard to give advice out there in a sea of information about the subject of wedding photography. I would have to say when you are looking for a photographer get one who is passionate about what they do. Also, find a photographer that you conect with on a personal level. 

Your wedding photographer is the one professional that you will have the most one-on-one time during your wedding day. I always reccomend meeting with your photographer before reserving them for their services on your day. You should get a person you like and conect with. If that connection is there you will be more confrontable in front of the camera, and be willing to try new expereinces that leads to amazing photographs.

Another thing to look for in your photographer is the passion for the business. If your photographer is passionate about what they do and why they do it that person will push themselves much harder than someone who only interest is your money.

The final thing is if they say they do a particualr style of photography like photojournalistc wedding photography look at their work. Is mostly posed formals, or are there more images that show people from the weddings that tell a story? A lot of photographers will say they do a particular style, but may not actually be providing it. It may just be out of an honest mistake. They may not understand the difference between traditional wedding photography and photojournalistic styles.

The big thing is listen to that little voice in your head. It is usually right.
