Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
All of our final images are digitally mastered and retouched. We include handcoloring, sepia toning, and black and white, just to name a few techniques.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
With 18 years of experience in photographing weddings, we have done it all!
Is your media preference film or digital?
We love digital!
How many photographers do you work with?
Main photographer, plus an assistant if needed.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We never book more than one wedding per day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We use all Canon professional cameras, lenses, and flashes. We also bring reflectors for available light situations.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We bring three camera bodies, five different focal length lenses, three flashes, and multiple CF cards.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Both hourly and all-inclusive coverages are available.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
As we only shoot one wedding per day, yes, we can do overtime. It is $250 per hour extra.
Do you charge for travel?
There is a charge for Destination Weddings to cover travel, hotel and related expenses.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Two to three weeks on average.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We offer both DVDs and paper proofs.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
They can keep them forever.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, for advertising and competition. If the DVD is included in the package, the couple may choose to make their own prints. We retain the right to use the images for advertising and promotional purposes.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, if it is included in the contract.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer a wide range of products that include magazine style, flushmount or more traditional albums.
