    Not at all.

I got them 50% off at Hobby Lobby, printed them at home and sent them.

I saved that money in my budget for the Trolley we got. I spent maybe $100 on them total?

I dont have a picture though, they were cute Smiley smile

Not really, but we ended up paying alot because I didnt want to deal with it. The lady is printing and doing all the envelopes. Picture is below. But they will be in white with pink and navy writing. I also got a stamp with two hearts to use on escort cards. (rough draft included).

Our invites are made with our wedding colors. I think it gives people a hint of what to expect when they get there. Smiley smile

I got them on Black Friday, and only because I thought they were pretty, and not for any other reason. I wanted the ink to match the BM dresses, but they didn't have the dress we wanted in Peacock, so my MOH wore Marine (they are very similar).

Invites wasn't important to me at all. It's paper that will end up in the garbage. I didn't really have a theme.

I really don't want to spend lots of money on invitations, but I'm also a total stationery junkie, so FH is going to have to hold me back.

Ours don't have anything to do with our theme. I got them on a crazy sale so that's what we're going with.

We went with the ones on the right because they were $20 for 200 invitations.

Absolutely not important. I got a send and seal style that had birds on them that I put into envelopes for security in mailing. Several people did not bother sending back the RSVP tear off post card which was discouraging but they probably would have not sent one in an envelope either. With the cards, postage, and envelopes I think they were like $200 for 75.

Not really important to me but designing them is giving me something to occupy my time (Single sided postcard size - printing at VistaPrint)

Considering our theme/feel is warm and homely (it'll still be winter here) they definitely seem to tie in with it - from what I have so far.

Mine definitely fit my general theme...colors, formality, font, and a "swirly" motif that will be repeated throughout the reception in other elements like signage and table numbers. I don't have an actual pic of them handy though. I love stationery and was torn between that and the problem of spending a ton on what will be trash for 99% of the recipients. My love of nice stationery won and we spent a fortune on future trash, but I love the way they turned out!!! Smiley smile

Invites were super important to me. I feel a wedding invite introduces the wedding and sets the tone for the event. When I get one in the mail I automatically use it to evaluate what I should wear and what to expect. We probably looked at 200 samples across three different days and settled on this design (which is super minimal so probably not worth all that lol). It was printed on cardstock with a light shimmer across it, ivory for the front and gold for the back with embossed lettering. I love my invites so much, they were one thing I was very particular about.

I think invitations are pretty important as they set the tone for your wedding. I also remember they will be thrown away eventually. I found ones I really like but I plan to buy them when the website runs a 20% off sale! These are not in my color, just samples.

I bought ours from Joann's with 60% off coupons, so I got 100 invitations for $40.00. I printed them myself but I did use the colors of the wedding and put lovebirds to match our theme. I've always heard that your invitations set the tone of what kind of wedding you'll be having.

Not important to me that it fit the theme. I only had three requirements: gold, traditional wording, and not initials. I wanted/want gold and simple. We wanted traditional so our parents names are included. I did not want the whole initials thing like A & B or C/D. It's really over done IMO, esp in FH's friend circle (who are all engaged right now or recently married).

I guess if 'light hearted fun' is a theme, my invites fit perfectly. There was a stick figure drawing of a man and woman apart, and it said "When Zoë and George met..." and then when you opened it they were standing together and it said, "They were drawn to each other." There was humor through my wedding-- from the invite, to "The Imperial March" for our processional, to our DJ dedicating the song "Who Can It Be Now?" to the guest who wrote "'M'yself and a friend" on the RSVP.

Not important. They probably won't fit our theme. It's one place I don't feel the need to spend a lot of money. They'll only get thrown out most likely, so no need to waste money. No belly bands or any other stuff that will making stuffing difficult or postage go up.

Our invitations pretty much set the tone of the wedding. We got a company to do them. Beautiful design! Everyone loved it and most guests contacted us to tell us how different and beautiful they were and said they couldn't wait to attend the wedding. So far no one has declined. Smiley laugh They were worth every penny.
