Your shoes after the wedding

Sh, on December 7, 2013 at 9:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 24

I haven't gotten myself to wear my wedding shoes again. I bought them because i wanted to wear them with my dress and after the wedding but I just can do it. I put them back in their box after the wedding and I will look at them once in a while but won't wear them. I feel like I just want to remember them as my wedding shoes and nothing else. Is this weird? Do you plan on wearing your shoes after the wedding? And married ladies, have you worn yours?

Haven't wore mine yet. But I'm going to. My wedding shoes cost more than my gown. They most definitely will get plenty of wear.

I will probably end up wearing mine. My ceremony shoes are champagne strappy shoes, which will go well with almost any nice dress and my reception shoes (when the heels hurt) are golden/linen ballet flats, which I can also wear with any dress (or dress up some jeans).

I don't expect I'll wear mine again. They are aerosole shoes but I bought the shoe clip on etsy, didn't like where they clipped, and then glued them where I wanted them. It all went well with my wedding dress but I don't imagine them looking good with anything else, really... they were also a little big on me but the size smaller was too small... it was weird.

I probably won't wear mine again. I am getting them dyed blue (so they will be my something blue) but I didn't pay too much for them so it's not a big deal if I don't wear them again.

I'll be wearing shoes I already own. After that, I probably won't wear them again because they'll be my "wedding shoes."

I can't wait to wear mine after the wedding. Mine are Kelly green pointy foe pumps which will be awesome with my skinny jeans and anything black really

Probably won't wear mine again, they are ivory lace peep toe pumps. But I'll keep them because I'm way too sentimental!

I don't have anything nice enough for my dress, that's why I am buying new shoes. Most of my shoes are casual - sneakers, loafers, flip-flops, work shoes, etc.

Look at wedding dresses. Most people don't wear them again. :-)

I will, mine are sandals that I bought a couple months ago at DSW, honestly I'm not a 100% on them for the wedding day and figured of I don't wear them that day I'll definitely wear them for something else.

I've never even thought of this question, I just assumed people would keep wearing them (although come to think of it my mom boxed hers up with her dress). Mine are proper dance shoes with leather sole so I will wear them if we take up ballroom dancing again.

I'm getting boots for this very reason. I've been looking for an excuse to get me some good boots anyway. I'm going to try holding off on wearing them outside before the wedding so I don't dirty em up

Why don't you wear them only for anniversaries? That would be pretty cute. Smiley smile

I bought my wedding shoes with plans to wear them again on special occasions. I would never have any other use for a white shoe, so I bought champagne pumps that matched my champagne sash. The champagne color is neutral and I will be able to wear them with most anything.

I learned not to buy the typical white satin shoe after buying $40 white heels as a bridesmaid this summer. The heels were completely ruined after walking through dirt and grass for photos. I tried soaking the stiletto part in undiluted bleach and even that didn't save them. I don't think I can even get rid of them on ebay and I would feel like a schmuck giving them to goodwill. Into the trash they will have to go.

I bought some simple, cute sparkle silver flats. You cant see them under my dress and my fiance did not want me to wear heels bc i would be taller than him. Honestly, i will probably wear them to work after the wedding!
