Would you serve something else?

Laura, on August 6, 2019 at 12:46 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 23
We’re having a dry wedding (no comments, please), and in addition to our bbq late lunch/early dinner, we’re of course serving drinks. Sweet tea & lemonade come with meal. Then I was thinking your basic assortment of soft drinks & bottled water. We’re inviting around 30 people with a large number already saying they’re coming. Would you add something extra, and if so, what?

I think the typical sodas like sprite/coke, tea, lemonade, and water is fine. If you really want to add something, maybe coffee for when the cake comes out? Its definitely not necessary, but could be a nice touch.

If you're even having cake or other dessert. Sorry I just assumed.

Are you asking about drinks? If so, it sounds like you're covered. If you mean food, I would add a dessert.

It’s gonna be November in Florida. Still hot as...take your pick. HOT. I know of two people who would drink coffee in that weather! In another climate, coffee & hot cocoa would be perfect.
FH thinks we should add Gatorade but that crap has SO much sugar.

It sounds like you're covered on drinks! You could definitely add coffee or tea if you felt so inclined, but it's by no means necessary.

I think the lemonade and tea is good with sodas and water is great! If you want to add something I would add coffee for after dinner.

So does lemonade, and sweet, tea, and soda, and cake...That being said, I don't think that Gatorade is a necessity and I've never seen it served at a wedding.

I agree, adding pop & water is a good idea. If you were to add something else, unsweetened ice tea or flavored water might be a good idea? Or sparkling cider, that can be festive! I'm not sure where your wedding is, but if it will be cold there in November, maybe coffee or hot tea or hot chocolate?

Sparkling cider would be cute. Otherwise I think you're fine with lemonade, tea, and sodas

Gatorade seems unnecessary to me, can you do like an iced or cold brew coffee maybe?

I second cider. I lived in FL for a while. It's still hot in November, but hot cider would be festive, I think. You have plenty of cold drinks already.

Unless it's that light frost blue. Best flavor.

That should be plenty of drink options to go around. I love me some sweet tea!

I second this. I still think having a coffee option is really nice for guests. If you think it's too hot then ice coffee is perfect. Personally... everyone I know drinks coffee year round despite the weather. I type this as I enjoy a hot coffee on one of the hottest days of the year, ha ha. Your selection of drinks sounds great otherwise.

I think you’re providing enough but a mocktail would be fun!

It will most certainly not be cold! We’re in Florida. Cider is an idea though. Maybe cold cider?
