Would You Marry Someone Like You?

No I'm way too impatient and I am career focused. Having someone like me would be too much head butting.
I am organized though, I do sometimes wish my fiance was more organized.

I chuckled when reading your response because I too can be impatient and am very career-focused. I wouldn't mind my husband being more career-focused but we can't both be impatient. One of the things that I love about him is that he is so relaxed and patient with me

And I am definitely more organized than my husband, smh.

I describe it as a "I'm a dreamer scientist and he's a structured artist." We share a lot of charisteristixx in common: tendency to get scattered, impatience, serious, goofy, passionate about our careers, family-driven.. And a snarky sense of humor.
But we go about it in different ways and at different times. I relish the ability to understand each other but the distinct differences.

No. Me and FH are very different but we fit together perfectly. We have the same goals and visions in life which I think is more important than having the same personality traits.

H and I have been pretty happily married for 32+ years. On our second date he pointed out that "we have a lot in common" regarding critical things like our faith, commitment to family, work ethic, approach to finances, etc. However, in other ways we are complete opposites: he's a HUGE extrovert and I'm a major introvert; he focuses on the "big picture" and I love the details; etc. I think in good relationships there is both enough similarity for things to run smoothly, and enough difference so life isn't boring.

I thought I would, but my FH and I are complete, polar opposites so I guess not xD I'm disorganized, I like to run, and I'm more artsy, he's "tacticool", VERY organized, and hates running xD We have so little in common it's amazing we get along at all, but I guess it's true sometimes, opposites attract.

I agree with that phrase to a certain degree. I think if people are different in crucial areas such as politics then the relationship might not work.

No absolutely not. I love my characteristics and personality but I'm too headstrong, self centered and impatient. Thank goodness for my dear FH who is kind and patient and actually helps bring me down to reality.

I've been warning everyone involved that if there are any fights they'll be kicked out, even if it's FH xD I'll get married without him CO allows marriage by proxy.

But in all seriousness, if people fight, we're gonna have problems.

1. We both love the same teams with an intense passion that could possibly be called obsession.

2. We are both actors.

3. We are both very stubborn.

4. We both enjoy overthinking about every little thing.

5. We're both rather socially awkward.

6. We're both nerds.

7. We both like playing with swords.
